JohnJ Posted January 7, 2023 Author Posted January 7, 2023 Listening to my recent most favorite Rock-Opera. From `88 but more updated to the way things are now-a-days by the lyrics. https://www.lyricsondemand.com/q/queensrychelyrics/operationmindcrimealbumlyrics.html 2 Quote
JohnJ Posted January 7, 2023 Author Posted January 7, 2023 Had started out with a group that Orlando Radio turned me onto way back, Rhinobucket. Then the above, but instead of going further with them... as my Hurricanes are turning the intensity up in the second. Here's a more intense group of kids. Recognize `em just from the pic? Or did you have to look at the player gui! Best Rock Voice of the 90s belonged to that third guy from the left! 3 Quote

JohnJ Posted January 17, 2023 Author Posted January 17, 2023 (edited) First heard this in a friend's car in about `90 in the parking lot of an NA meet. Cool vibe that is still intriguing! Been a while... Edited January 17, 2023 by JohnJ fixed the tense that auto-spell messed up 3 Quote
JohnJ Posted January 19, 2023 Author Posted January 19, 2023 Lost track of these guys way back, their opening band... this was Great White before. But these guys were a powerhouse when they were one of the first ten acts in the new coliseum back home. Frank Sinatra was the first concert there, AC⚡DC were the first rock show... they were different, Brian singing, think it was "Fly on the Wall". This one wasn't out yet! 2 Quote
JohnJ Posted February 5, 2023 Author Posted February 5, 2023 Kind of mellow with the tunes today. Tired of taking aspirin so I knocked back a shot of 12yr! better now. This dude's lyrics reeked of sorrow sometimes. Shame. Bought this one because of the one tune I heard long ago on WDIZ! 3 Quote
amped Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) Listening to this right now via my iphone connected to preamp, etc. BTW, this to me isn't the best on the album. If you can find more i suggest a listen. Also the movie "Beware of Mr Baker" is a good watch. Edited February 13, 2023 by amped More info 4 1 Quote
JohnJ Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 Sure we all know what today is. Had several great ones, some good ones and not many lately. That's alright, they are better than the ones like this were: 2 Quote
JohnJ Posted February 18, 2023 Author Posted February 18, 2023 Had side one on yesterday while I was cooking. Got sidetracked on a good one that put me on a different wavelength. So here's side two of possibly the greatest Zeppelin record. Yea, yea "Presence" is their best rocker but this one is just a complete work. Not as good as my vinyl, but hey I'm surprised at how low a volume I've had it at this morning. That's during Ten Years Gone. 2 Quote
