wvu80
Let me update you on WVU's impressive rushing offense vs FCS powerhouse James Madison:  The strength of WV's offense this season is the running backs. They combined for 34 yards in 24 carries for an incredible 1.4 yards per carry. The long run of the day was 5 yards. You just can't stop an explosive offense like that. They can reel off 1.4 yards anytime they want.  If anybody cares WVU trailed 7-3 at halftime and won 20-13.  It's going to be a loooong season.
oldtimer
It's only the first game. They might get worse so cheer up.
oldtimer
These opening day matchups are quite tedious, so much that I keep looking for something else, usually finding baseball, and it is so much more interesting. It will be nice when the season really gets in gear. 1
JL Sargent
What a game last night as Auburn scores 21 unanswered to beat Oregon 27-21 in an upset. Auburn started a true Freshman QB "Bo Nix" who never quit slinging the ball around. Oregon looked like the better team most of the game but could not close the deal. It was a hell of game down in Jerry World. Â

That too. Of course the Big Ten used to actually be the Big Ten, and they still refuse to call it anything else. It actually should be the Big Eleven and Rutgers..... 1

That kind of money should go a long way for the Vandals program.  You can understand why these smaller programs are more than willing to be the sacrificial lambs to big time programs   BTW, who schedules these mismatches?
