DizRotus Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I never saw such a thing. Apparently, Klipsch provided such speakers to organ makers. What can you tell us about this Andy @HDBRbuilder, Jim @JRH, or Roy @Chief bonehead? Quote
NBPK402 Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I purchased a LaScala years ago that came with the amp included for Organ use. The one I had looked exactly like a LaScala, but was black.Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Based on this picture , the top hat of an organ LS shows the crossover to the right and the Rodgers s100c organ amplifier mounted to the left , the top panel of the top hat was removable with screws , but the bass bin was standard LaScala , the woofer looks like the pre 1978 K33P , but someone modified a LS bass bin by removing the dog house and mounting a motorboard ala bass reflex ---this may be 1 explanation - Quote

DizRotus Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I know that La Scalas were used with, or in, organs. I do not know that Klipsch made, the bass reflex “La Scala” being sold. I seriously doubt someone removed a doghouse to create the bass reflex cabinet being sold. IMO, the photographs do not support that explantation. Until I hear from someone associated with Klipsch to the contrary, IMO Klipsch built the organ speaker being sold. It appears to have the approximate dimensions of a true La Scala, but it is not a La Scala. I won’t lose sleep over this, but I am curious about how this bass reflex organ speaker came to exist. The photographs suggest to me that Klipsch built it. I’m eager to find out that I’m wrong. Quote

'Two huge speakers Klipsh LA scala from Rogers organ woofers section cabinets not an original woofers an original and horn section with crossovers original also i have two mono blocks Rogers organ amps sell amps separately sons great' My thoughts: 1 1 Quote
DizRotus Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 On second thought, the woofer mounted to the front of the motor board, is not Klipsch-like, which makes me think Klipsch did not construct the bass bin. Nonetheless, IMO, this is NOT a modified La Scala bass bin. 1 Quote

Steve , in the late 80's PWK's priority was designing Big Horns and the Chief was tasked to get the job done , the Epic CF-4 horn predates the CW IV by 3 decades , it is the Corn-Scala ....CW IV horn with a twist , the addition of Mumps by Rojelio Delgado Jr . 1 Quote
