artto
Anyone seen the new Klipsch press release from Smart Money magazine? Lou Reed auditions 5 speakers systems, Bose, B&W, Martin Logan, Infinity and Klipsch. Upon hearing Bose (a second time) Reed responds "Oh no, oh no" "I'd pay money NOT to hear that." LMFAO. He chose Klipsch. Way to go Lou. We love you!
cjgeraci
Great article. Its nice to know Lou was complimenting RB-75s, and they just sit as surrounds in the rear of my system. Lou needs to listen to some Heritage or RF-7s properly set up. Given Lou's preferences, Klipsch would really feel the love then. Carl. Piranha
I wonder what he was listening to? Intro / Sweet Jane?
3dzapper
I guess ole Lou didn't want to take a walk on the mild side! Rick
dkp
Nice post. I wonder why Smart Money didn't compare a group of speakers that was closer together in price. The RF-7s would have been much closer in price to the B&Ws and the MLs. In any event, he picked the right set, especially at that price point. John Warren
I'll bet Lou Reed can't hear a thing above 5kHz. Let's face it, he played in a band that was famous for being the "loudest" in the history of rock. He's just plain deaf And what about Jermaine O'Neal and his "endorsement"! What is his endorsement worth? (maybe $5k paid to him no doubt). At least he dressed for the photo-shoot. What a laugh. How's this...Maria Callas* to endorse Fram oil filters. Has sort of the same ring doesn't it? *deceased, like much of the "creativity" at the LLC.

edwinr
Lou Reed may be partly deaf. But he knows what live music should sound like. That's why he choose Klipsch.

Audio Flynn
Arrto; you know that hearing real musical instruments thing just confuses some people. I just got back from picking my son up from marching band camp. There was allot of instruments to hear. It would be fun to record a drum line sometime. The use of the sticks, snare and rim by the drum section leader was pretty sharp. It is refreshing to hear what a snare rim needs to sound like!
