OK and a month later you feel it is ???

I figured Craig did a nice job with these. What does VRD stand for, for the uninitiated?

How long you gonna wait before you plug the tubes in?

Sheesh! How embarrassing! I've been wondering why I can't get any sound out of them! I naturally assumed that the tubes were underneath, inside, where they'd be nice and protected, and all those little holes on top were for ventilation. But under closer scrutiny, it appears that from other people's pictures of VRDs, the tubes are on top, like a little garden.

I guess I should've known it wouldn't take a full month for the amps to get to operating temperature.

Now it turns out that those little boxes of cardboard that I figured were just packing material, that they had tubes packed in them. I'll have to push these tubes in the holes and see if any sound comes out.

One mistake you don't want to make: You don't want to say to Craig, "Your quoted price is for *each* amp, right?">>>

ROTFLMAO. What did he actually say? More importantly, how long did it take him to get it out? just to the nearest .1 second or so will be fine.

It was more of an instantaneous sputter than it was actual words.

Recall that originally Craig was going to name them Tube Rollers Delight, but for some reason he changed his mind.....

I believe it's because Craig is British, and the Brits call them valves instead of tubes. They call subways "tubes"; go figure.
