bobs2010
can't find your wallet huh ?? i know the feeling think new hardly used bring integrated amp and listen last i heard they don't make these any more if they aren't like new don't buy'em it's the sound i'm looking at spending more to repower these speakers than they cost it appears there are no decent 2 channel amps/pre amps available i can buy cheap crap like audiosource or nad or i can buy a 40 year old mcintosh and preamp for $2500 then spend $800 to have it rebuilt then spend way too much to retube it with 3rd world crap (there is a reason we call it the 3rd world) i can't believe that klipsch has sunk so low it appears to be more profitable to sell plastic chinese imports than to employ americans in arkansas the present management at klipsch can't even spend the money for adequate software or knowledgeable computer it professionals for this website instead of selling imported stuff from the third world - what if - klipsch inc. sold quality 2 channel speakers with a matching amplifier/preamp (who needs 5 or 7 plastic speakers barking at you from all around the room?) quality case & drivers and matching electronics? if you design and build quality speakers and the matching amp it would be hard to go wrong i'm selling these speakers maybe the next buyer of the klipsch name will know hifi
rplace
Bob, not really sure what you are saying. If you are selling these because you can't find a decent amp. Don't sell them, there are plenty of ways to power efficient Klipsch speakers. Ask around here a bit I bet you get at least 20 different opinions. As for my wallet, I know where it is and don't need to hear them. I have had a pair of Belle at my house and currently own a single one for my center channel. I know what they sound like with solid state and tube gear...great is how they sound. I am more interested in the condition, thus my request for pictures (I know you said like new, but would prefer a little evidence). People here are always looking for a pair of nice belles or a single. I am sure I would have no problem selling my single and one of yours...if I decide to go that route. However this is pretty low priority since I already have a decent looking one, but the fact that you are within a days drive has my curiosity peaked. For $500 or less you can have all the amplification you need to make them sing. I'd explore some options to power them before you sell them. Best of luck! BTW, does yours look nicer then this? Small snag on grill cloth, a couple of nicks and scratches - nothing deep.
bobs2010
no i can't find a decent amp for a reasonable price i really don't know what has happened to 2 channel audio in the last 10 years the belle klipsch are just great i can't imagine it gets much better i had a pair of heresy 's and loved em till i got the belles the belles are so much better buddy from the stereo store had the k horns sold 'em when he moved and bought la scala's later - he liked the belles too another bud had magna-planars after 2 amps they burned out they sounded ok while they worked my belles are nicer than your center mine has the cane over the black grille cloth looks like the same oiled walnut veneer mine has a small white ring where dreaded previous girlfriend put a leaky vase of flowers bet you can't find it tho new otherwise

bobs2010
ok whay is your point?????? do you have a recommendation for amp/preamp? or do you want to buy a pair of belle k? if you haven't been on the market for a decent amp lately you may be surprised by crap out there
dbflash
this is a joke right. i could find 10 amps and pre's today if i really wanted to upgrade. what are you looking for? ss or tube? how much do you want to spend speaking of wallets? what do you listen to albums or cd's? after we get you fixed up with amps, what TT or CDP will you use? bobs2010
totally not a joke i have been reading reviews and comparing specs for a couple of weeks it really appears that the amps for 2 channel are crap a whole world of stuff if i want 5.1 or 7.1 but i have 2 speakers and 2 ears limit like $800 and it should have bass and treble controls on the pre so i can turn down the high end 2 notches cause the belles can be too bright unless you put a beach towel over the tweeter i have cds only old vinyl was trash
PrestonTom
Bobs2010, Good luck on your sales; however, I agree with the others that there are a number of good amps & pre-amps out there. I will also note that it was a pretty cheap shot when you attacked Klipsch & the website & the Webmaster. The forums are provided as a courtesy. The forums are also undergoing an upgrade. So cut some slack. I am sorry if this service (in your case being used for your own want ads) is inconvenient for you. Personally, I find it hospitable that Klipsch provides us this source of entertainment. -Tom
Johnny dB
If your looking for new, I doubt you'll find much that'll meet you price point. I'd suggest a decent Vintage Scott 299B. Are you wanting to sell them or keep them? Why do you insist on hitting the return key after any or every arbitrary point? Looks like you're trying to write a Haiku. Matthorns
I think you are missing what it is that really matters. A lot of home theater Recivers are Glorified with high power output but not much dynamic power. I have a Proton D1200 stereo power amp rated at 100watt And two Rotel Home Theater amps bridged to 150 They have nothing on the Proton Good amps yes but (IMO) the Proton is far better. Plus Stereo amp are usally a lot more musical. Have a listen to a few before you make judgement. Specs arnt everything Its about how you like the sound of what you listen to not what a bit of paper says
