wpines
This is an interesting test. http://jakemandell.com/tonedeaf/ Low scoring testers may want to reconsider buying expensive cables........

colterphoto1
I couldn't complete it. Those bizarre 'melodies' on the cheesy synth drove me crazy at 16% completed! How'd you guys get through it?
TheEvan
It tests musical acuity, not hearing acuity. The natural advantage goes to the musician.

dewam
It tests musical acuity, not hearing acuity. The natural advantage goes to the musician. The only instrument I can play is the stereo, and that is mostly the on-off and volume. My score was 88.9. I'll have the wife and kid, who can play instruments, give it a try. Never knew I had "musical acuity". Now I have to look it up in the dictionary :-) Den
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted November 25, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 25, 2006 61%, that is only slightly better then just a guess!!! No wonder I never took up an insturment and they wouldn't let me sing in the choir. Travis
oldtimer
First time try at 80.6%. Was kinda groggy and took me a while to realize what it was about. In college we had to listen to phrases like that and write down the notes. It was called ear training, I think I got a b or c most of the time in that too. Good call on the sounds Colter. Some are more difficult than others just because you might not enjoy listening to the sound. Now if they had been all drums......
