Quick update fellas. I have been in contact with the gentleman that bought Mike's other available Audiogon item(Shelter 9000 cart.), he just got his original MO's back today. Things are lookin' up. I'll update when mine arrive.

Boy, I sure hope this works out for you! I've had a couple of sellers on e-Bay lately answer all my questions promptly before the sale, then afterwards, nothing. No tracking number, no contact. I would send an e-Mail every few days after the first week went by asking for at least a tracking number...nada. Then the packages arrived with the goods well packed and aas descrbed.

If the seller had good feedback on audiogon before, it may work out.

Micheal Matthews has gotten to me as well! I sent him 1200.00 for a Shelter 9000 cartridge 2 1/2 weeks ago and I haven't been able to get a reply out of him since. I have sent numerous emails and even used the phone number that I see that Jordan posted to try and call since I didn't originally get his phone number (foolish on my part) I've done lots of deals on Audiogon and never had a problem. I was a little skeptical since he only had three positive feedbacks but it was a good deal to me and I figured it's Audiogon right? I did talk to one of the guys who left him positive feedback and he said that it took him forever to get his CD player sent to him, so I guess this could be looked at as positive. If not maybe you big tough guys who are going to go shake him up can put in a word for me as well lol.

I have had more bad deals on AudiogoN than on eBay...and neither will do much if anything for you...I waited well over a month to get a response from audiogoN and when they finally got back to me, they said after I followed all their obstacles that they no longer provide any help getting lost monies back from thieves...good luck to you both.

Since it's quite obvious that Audiogon, Ebay, Paypal, etc are looking out only for themselves self preservation is a must.

I use only Protected insured credit cards for any major purchases. If I have a problem my Credit Card Co. can give me protection via chargeback. It's tough finding safe sellers AND safe buyers anymore. So many scams from the "Bottom Feeders" of society.

We need to push our lawmakers for effective measures to deal with the Internet Plague that I see as only getting worse. Careful with your hard earned money. I also fear an intrusion into our forum that rips off a couple of us before we know what hit's us.

I hope all works out and you get your product or cash. if not, I would pursue prosecution through the Post Master, Federal Prosecuters, local law enforcement, whoever it takes. Do NOT let up until these maggots of society are vanquished.

I hate to say it, but It kind of sounds like Michael sold the Shelter 9000 to you and to someone else. I have been in contact with a fellow from North Carolina that also bought the same Shelter 9000 from Michael. He just got his money back last Thursday. I hope it was'nt your money he sent him. I know this is not something you probably wanted to hear. This guy is a beaut, is'nt he? I really do hope it works out for you and I am sorry you have to go through this.

Just got my certified envelope from Michael and guess what? The MO for $1000.00 was in the envelope, but not the one for $300.00. Now there's a great big f@#$%n' surprise. Opened it in front of the USPS guy, told him I wanted to make sure it was not empty. Well, it was'nt empty, but it is three bills light. [:@]

GET A ROPE! 

Go to the admin of the site and register complaints. There is enough evidence here to hopefully suspend an account or at the least leave negative feedback. How many people can be tracked down that had bad dealings with this person. Enough bad feedback can hurt someone like this or at least force them to another site.

Well, it's quite evident this guy is a scumbag. He got in over his head, and is trying to stall for time. There is no way in hell he is staying in a hospital somewhere. I am the other person that responded to this scumbags ad and thought the BB was mine. After he screwed me saying that it was a mistake and Jorgen was getting the BB I contacted Audiogon to complain about his conduct, they said there is nothing they can do until money changes hands, well money has changed hands and they need to kick his *** off Audiogon. Jorgen you need to call the Police and put in a complaint and then someone should put in an anonymous call to the Police that he tried to sell you child pornography or is dealing drugs out of the house or something to make this guys life miserable. You could always go up there and burn his car to the ground or accidentally hit him in the head with a baseball bat.
