scott0527
For some good, relaxing guitar noodling I like the couple of John Fahey albums I have. CD's are available I'm sure. I like "Requia and Other Compositions for Guitar Solo". The album is recorded really well but I'm not sure what the CD would sound like. GRB
Jesse Cook. Tempest is his first album and my favorite. Awesome guitarist.
whell
My RF-7's occasionally enjoy a dose of Pat Metheny's "One Quiet Night". It's just Metheny and an acoustic guitar, played at home is his home studio, and it is very well recorded. I wouldn't admit to being a huge Metheny fan, but I really liked this effort. pauln
John Renbourn. Albums from 1968-1969: The Pentangle, Sir John Alot, The Lady and the Unicorn, Sweet Child, and Basket of Light. To hear him, go to: http://www.john-renbourn.com/ and hit the "MUSIC" button - it's a JR Juke Box with lots of songs.

alliclaytor
Sounds like I have some trips to amazon in my future. Thanks for the suggestions, I have a good deal of the acoustic alchemy stuff and like most of it but at times it can just be weird...lol. If anybody else has suggestions please chime in. Tracking Angle
Almost anything by Leo Kottke. A couple of good albums are My Father's Face and 6 and 12 String Guitar. If you don't want to hear him sing, there is Guitar Music and One Guitar, No Vocals. --Enjoy
colterphoto1
Zeppelin has had a lot of acoustic guitar-based songs throughout their career. Down by the Seaside, Bron-yr-aur come to mind. Exquisitely crafted by the master himself Jimmy Page.
colterphoto1
Allman Brothers Dreams box set has remastered versions of 4 CD's of their music, much of it with dual guitars of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts. Steve Howe from Yes has utilized a variety of instruments over his career including electric sitar and pedal steel. Check out his work with the band or solo projects. TheEvan
Good call on the Metheney disc, whell. Might I add Ralph Towner's wonderful Anthem, beautifully presented by ECM. I'm a classical guitarist and I scarcely know where to start in that genre. If you like Brazilian, Sergio & Odair Assad's Alma Brasiliera is a fantastic performance with very live sound. The inexpensive Naxos recordings sound remarkable. They're all recorded in a small church in Canada and they have a most natural sound dialed in. I think I'll recommend Ricardo Cobo's Guitar Music From Latin America. He smokes on the Piazzolla.
