  2. Hi! As the title says, looking for unblemished drivers for my RF-7 Series 1s. I am hoping the find 2 of them! Thanks, bob
  3. Another thought that I had, is whether or not it is feasible to "Transplant" a RF-7II or RF-7III driver from the "Round" basket to the "Square-ish" basket from a donor RF-7 10" driver? This would entail re-foaming the edge of the cone to the older basket. This isn't an ideal solution but perhaps could work. Another idea I have kicked around is create an adaptor ring that could be inserted into the RF-7 cavity and allow the RF-7II/III speaker to used as a drop-in replacement. Bob..
  4. Apart from waking the neighbour’s ‘Did you notice that the record collection grew as well - just like your situation
  5. The Mystery Man came over An' he said: "I'm outa-sight!" He said, for a nominal service charge I could reach Nirvana t'nite If I was ready, willing 'n able To pay him his regular fee He would drop all the rest of his pressing affairs And devote His Attention to me But I said Look here brother Who you jivin' with that Cosmik Debris? Now what kind of a mask man are you anyway? Look here brother Don't you waste your time on me The Mystery Man got nervous An' he sorta, fidget around a bit He reached in the pocket of his Mystery Robe An' he whipped out a shaving kit Now, I thought it was a razor An' a can of foamin' goo But he told me right then when the top popped open There was nothin' his box won't do With the oil of Afro-dytee An' the dust of the Grand Wazoo He said "You might not believe this Pancho, but it'll fix up that war paint for you too" An' I said Look here brother (thank you mask man. thank you) Who you jivin' with that Cosmik Debris? Ah, mask man is a ****** Look here brother Don't you waste your time on me I've got troubles of my own, I said An' you can't help me out So take your meditations an' your preparations An' ram it up yer snout "BUT I GOT A KRISTL BOL!", he said An' held it to his horse So I snatched it All away from him An' I showed him how to do it right of course I wrapped a newspaper 'round my head So I'd look like I was Deep I said some Mumbo Jumbos then An' told him he was goin' to sleep I robbed his rings An' pocket watch An' everything else I found I had that sucker hypnotized He couldn't even make a sound I proceeded to tell him his future then As long as he was hanging around I said "The price of pajamas has just gone up An' yer ol' swarmy have just gone down" Look here swarmy Who you jivin' with that Cosmik Debris? (Now is that a real poncho or is that a Seattle poncho who can tell anymore?) Don't you know You could make more money in sindication So don't you waste your time on me Ohm shonty, ohm shonty, ohm shonty-ohm
  6. Hi Everyone, Has anyone taken a look at re-coning the copper style speakers? I am guessing that the trick is to find the copper color'd material to generate a cone, in the first place. I bet there is a reasonable demand for this type of fix! I have some unblemished drivers on their way to me, to replace some on my RC-7. I may attempt to disassemble one of the blemished ones, to see what is needed. Ideally, I want to find at least two R-1089-AVs for the RF-7 (series 1s.) These are pretty hard to find. These would certainly be a candidate for a re-cone operation, if I could figure it out. Bob.
  7. I’m more of a Strat guy, but I totally get it. It was amazing.
  8. Hahahaha, No relation. I haven’t seen Grace or Hopper around town since last fall.
  9. Yup, for sure... Been serenading three kids fromnext door playing baseball in the back yard alllllll afternoon. Just waiting on the window to break. lol Airin this place out!
  10. This is Dave 🤘🤘 Rock on our friend
  11. I have two Bluesound node 3s (as in review below). One is white and one black. I used them about 10 hours each. I do not need two of these (although if you have multiple systems, you can control multiple streamers from one point...smart phone, tablet or computer). I paid an average of $410/ea. so I would like to sell them for. They are essentially like new w/ box, papers and accessories. Here is node 3 review: https://www.google.com/amp/www.stevehuffphoto.com/2023/04/07/the-bluesound-node-gen-3-review-stream-away/%3famp=1 The built in DAC is super too. I use one streaming through a PSE Studio SL pre to Studio V mono amps to La Scala speakers. With high resolution source such a Tidal or Amazon HD, the sound is phenomenal! Price $410.
  12. I finished a project on some Heresy 1.5 and have some parts I am selling. I will let it go as a package, or in pairs. $500 for all of it. PM me for any offers or pairs. Tweeters - K77 Mids - K700 with K55M drivers Woofers - K22 I prefer local pick up. Free packing, buyer pays shipping.
  13. I should mention that I have a Crown D75/2 That . sounds fantastic with KH A bit light on the bottom compared to 200 wpc tho
  14. Don't ya just hate it when that happens? Sometime puttering around works in your favor and yesterday your number was up. Had to sound great. Snake guy related to dog chick? lol Had to.
  15. I didn't compare it to other amps. I have rotated it into the mix a few times and love how it looks and sounds. I have WAY too much audio gear, too many motorcycles, and other toys, so I need to let someone else enjoy some of it.
  16. Curious if you've compared this to McIntosh MC2100 or MC250? I know McIntosh uses output auto formers, but I am always interested in other class A/AB products.
  17. AAAHHH one of these lazy sunday afternoons here . As the weather was cloudy and quiet cold for may I spun some music I started with Al Di Meola´s " Cielo e Terra " ( Sky and Earth ) than the first Live Recording from WAR .. followed by the debut from Mother´s Finest which is breath taking and finally Roy Buchanan´s " Loading Zone " Well..it´s 10.08 pm here ..time to say goodbye !
  18. TTT This one is headed to the FB marketplace.
  19. It rained yesterday afternoon so instead of mowing the yard I puttered around the house before going over to my buddies(snake guy) place to hang out and play some music. After a while he twisted my arm and forced me to play his beat up old Gibson that was made in 1959. It’s the Les Paul in the middle.
  20. My son-in-law is running Heresy iis with an SB2000, and it sounds great. In a larger space than yours, but still a good match. I’m a big believer in DIY subs, if you are up to a bit of effort the results are quite rewarding. I’ve built a couple of Bill Fitzmaurice’s designs, and they are great with Klipsch speakers. https://billfitzmaurice.info
  21. EVERSOLO , Yes quite impressive units for the price $$$$, The A8 has me very interested, however, I’m not trying to give advice to anyone, but I think I would sit this one out for the time being , I seen items such as these come and go,and there sound is fantastic with excellent reviews, only part that really worries me if something breaks down beyond my repair and limited knowledge I think you might be kinda S ——ed, in the foreseeable future, for now I’ll keep using my , wadia transport VRDS and various Dac’s no hurry I can do most of that with my Mac & usb Dac’s I still don’t rip or stream, and what I looked at is I sure don’t need another preamp at this point in time, but I have to admit it does have me thinking whatever you decide. Good luck.
