    Okay...so, the DVD player arrived. As mentioned I intended to use it as a transport and use my Schiit Mani 2 as a dac. I'm running from the coaxial digital out on the dvd player to the audio in on the Mani. Obviously from there I am running from the audio out on the Mani to audio in on the amplifier. Any thoughts on why this is not working? Please try to be kind as I am a rank amateur at best.

Haven´t listened to this one in a while... I notice again how well it was produced, it sounds amazing.

    I just picked up a pair of AK5 in cherry in excellent condition for 3k. I owned KCBR back in the '70s. I drove them with a Phase Linear700b. Talk about the wrong amp! Well I just bought the hardwood boards to convert these to a B profile. I personally wonder if PWK approved this change. The B Khorn in my book is the most attractive speaker ever made. And these will be driven by a pair of McIntosh Mc60's that I am totally refurbing.

    It came out OK. I think we have a good 200 lbs. It's getting cut up and weighed, for one pound boxes. The pigs were stuffed with lemongrass, garlic, ginger and onions. Tastes ok...

    @Mikekid Yea, that. All of it, I should have just posted the grillin burger meme and been done with it. 😂 But nooooo, it was like 430 AM and I'm starin at this machine like a possum/armadillo or whatever in a sea of headlights on the inter-state. Go to bed old man! 😂 Yea, goin back to bed. Right after I fill mah coffee mugga up again.

    Thanks @wuzzzer, I'd definitely prefer to set them to the side and behind as designed. My wife on the other hand isn't a fan of the bookshelf speakers on stands look. I'll have to assess once the new couch is delivered. I guess I could run the wire through the ceiling and down the back wall for bookshelf speakers too.

    With Marantz and Denon partnering for Home Theater, I enjoy our 8k Denon AVR. Over the years I realized that 2 channel music just doesn’t sound as good running through my AVR So… we use a Marantz 2285b for our Forte IIs solely for music. There is something about the sound and looks of these 70s receivers that sets them apart. I have compared the 2285b to some newer Sony products and the B wins hands down. Unfortunately I have not heard the high end Marantz that is produced today

    We run a vintage Marantz 2285b with our Forte IIs and the sound is amazing. As others have pointed out…your room size, music tastes, etc also help decide what sounds best.

    I´m using Discogs for organizing my collection and it gives You have a button to choose a random album from your stash. Yes it´s one of my fav JT albums as well.
