  1. We are getting ready to launch an complete new line of R.... oh, crap, I'm probably not supposed to say anything yet. Rest your fears. This is the year of copper. We're not going anywhere. Either is the Heritage line.

  3. After many years of lean bassresponse I went for opening the doghouse and bassports on the rear. It works very well and I am very pleased that the original look is still retained. After making a fixed panel inside the upper part of the cabinet I can either mount a closed panel or the one with ports, easy. Nico

  4. The easiest way to tell is to try each pair. You have an advantage as you own both sets already. Specs tell you very little as to how a speaker sounds.

  5. Well, I'm using 2 Corns and a Heresy for the center and I love it!!!! I used to use three Heresy speakers for the LCR...and I loved that too! However - the Corns are just on a different level when I revert to 2 channel music.

  6. http://www.vtimanufacturing.com/Audio%20racks%20&%20AV%20stands.htm I like the BL series. The 404 would be something for you specifically. That is eventually what I will have in my 2 channel setup once I have room for it.

  7. I started it because Craigslist stuff goes very fast and if you know something was on Craigslist it would be easier IMO to find... Plus it keeps the down the thread count that you have to look through to find it. <edit> You're right in that a great deal goes fast, and thanks for your help in alerting others. <edit>

  8. You could save a ton if you buy them used. 3 corns used would cost less than one new Cornwall iii.

  11. The Heresy was designed as a center channel to be placed on the floor between 2 K Horns. Don't break your budget over this, the Heresy will be fine as a center (and as the center will handle most of the info for movies). JBL makes some very fine speakers, but 2 new cornwalls and a new heresy center sounds like a wonderful system that you will be very proud of and satisfied with. EDIT - and I forgot to say, one that you can hang on and use to for 20 or 30 years or more.

  12. In order to develop loud speakers and sell niche items the company first and foremost has to stay in business and be profitable. Niche products like Heritage speakers won't get you there. You have to sell what the masses want to be able to cater to the minority (us).

  13. K763....Thank you for contributing. I may be wrong but I suspect you have some age on you. Doesn't really matter other than, if so, your effort. I myself am 51. If my suspicion is correct (your age) you may not quite understand the dynamic going on in this forum. The members here are generally a litttle older, more mature and absolutely lovers of Klipsch speakers. As such we are protective of the"brand" because we live with the speakers every day. As a fellow Arkansan, I would love for y'all to bring items back to display in our state. As a small populus state you know what we face & how protective we are of our "own". The purpose of my post is to hopefully help you understand the "make up" of the community you entered. I hope this ends to your satisfaction. Please tell Miss V we wish her well.

  14. You can buy $100 tube amps. $500 tube amps. $35k tube amps. The same goes for SS.

  15. One of the things I lke about my setups is that they all sound a litte different. The tube sounds better at higher volume and the class D amps are just ultra clean. I listen more to the system with the big subs. I just like the bass using subs. I only use digital music and I am not a fan of vinyl, mainly for storage issues. One thing about tube gear, it looks good in a system, lol.

  16. Or, to take that idea to the next level, just never buy it.

  17. Bruce, Try it. You'll Like it As I stated before,I would do this to any La Scala that I planned to use for 2-channel. It can always be reversed. What's the risk? I've attached (in no particlar order) links to other threads on this topic. Some of the info is redundant.
