A phone call came this morning at about 0715 am from the trucking company. At 745 we were unloading. By 830 we were listening!!! 2015 Klipschorns serial #1 and 2.

The tops don't seal, but the bass bin is within 1/8 to a 1/4 inch. Not sure why they cut the tops shorter than the bass bin. First Khorns ever! But to seal them better I might add some pipe insulation. They have enough bass that I have my R-115SW's off for music. Incredible sound! Big thanks and love to my wife for letting me get such HUGE speakers! BOOM!

My favorite coffee maker is one that works.

I could see how it would make the coffee taste flat without the acidic bite coffee normally has. If it keeps me from having craters reappear in my stomach I'll be happy!

If your left handed that's fine, if right handed make the coffee with the left hand for the reasons Mark and Carl were thinking.

Afternoon gang...... Just caught up on all the posts......and yes I am now out of likes...... I have been out the house early......no time to post in the am with my coffee. My eldest daughter is back in school, so I now get the grand kids on the bus. Then me and the wife just head out to the shop. The last job I did for the used car lot......kicked my a$$ big time.....I had to pull the dash out of a Ford Explorer to fix a vent problem. It's been years since I have been beat-up like that. Ok guys just wanted to say hey......yell at you guys later... MKP :-)

I will look into this cold press idea, just need to finish the Boat project first. The wife will pretty much go along with the flow, let's face it. im going to kick any Brew in the azz with the Duggans anyway

I have to watch acidic foods and drinks and anything that encourages my stomach to make too much acid. Cold brewing supposedly creates less acid than hot brewing. The coffee grounds basically sit in cold water for 12 to 24 hours to give you your "brew" and you have a highly concentrated coffee. I drink it hot! ...boil some water and add an ounce (or more) of the concentrated brew. I think it tastes decent but I've been off coffee and everything else to drink but water for four months. I might like boiled bark at this point if it had a little caffeine.

Rated by whom , I had 2 Kureg machines and would not own another, coffee is overpriced and the machines lasted about a year once the require the vinegar brew through its all over (except the hunt for something else), My 25.00 Aero Press makes a much tastier cup (IMHO)

The photo shows it only moments after being removed from the box... This workstation is recognized as the top model across all brands ! Listening to Jeff Buckley on vinyl. Linkin Park on vinyl next. Listened also to Vivaldi : The Four Seasons recomposed by Max Richter. The first thing I listened to was Kings of Leon and Def Leppard: High and Dry. Also watched clips from Avatar, Star Trek, and Top Gun. The twin R-115SW's keep up just fine, but when I had them on with the Khorns it was way too much bass- lol. Listening to just the Khorns for music, so they must be sealed pretty good.

Here they are at the factory last week. In the photo are the two builders, the quality control person, and the packer. I really appreciate the attention to detail. These are nothing short of miraculous! They blow my La Scalas paired with my subs away. They didn't fill the house with sound quite like these do. American craftsmanship at its finest!

Accept the fact that there are newbies all the time and they're asking the same questions you did when you first got into this. Diving into the archives isn't always enough.....a new discussion can shed light on something that may have changed over the years because of different gear, formats etc. etc.

Morning all. Another weird day at work. We've been without phones for over 24 hours now, no calls coming in and we can't call out. Craziest thing I've ever seen. Phone company points the finger at our equipment vendor and vendor points the finger back. No way to calculate the money we're losing while this fiasco continues.

I think between myself and the camera flash the snake got spooked so he eventually spit the frog out. So there was a happy ending if you're into "Frog Protection". Scott

The integrated amps are normally have better quality components. Beefier power supply, vs stero receivers feature like phono, network, Pandora, Vtuner and other little things. Both can be very good. For two additional channel, get something like a Yamaha M 70. They are older amp but, get to power the mains. A Yamaha MX 60 will work for surrounds. These amps will not break the bank.

Well the new DAC has been ordered after much hand ringing and help from Joe and Carl. Years back I wouldn't blink at spending this rather paltry sum but retirement and going from two incomes to one changes things. I really was convinced that I was through buying equipment But I have three lottery tickets for Powerball tonight so who knows. Jake has new and larger food and water bowls so he is happy. Told me to say woof to Baxter. Going to the paint store to buy ceiling, wall, and trim paint for the dining room. My painter works at a paint store and will get the job knocked out Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.....his days off. Then to the foyer. LF fed and off to play tennis. Road trip for ribs with two friends tomorrow. Start a diet the following week Always think of Boxx when I use that emoticon. Cheers Gents
