  1. Good morning my friends.... Thank you Steve, Marvel, and dTel et. all for your lovely compliments on the Thanksgiving table setting and foods .. Hear you there Mark, that is always an excellent rule for wine storage, although, with the newer synthetic corks and screw tops, that is becoming less of a worry... However, keeping the pests out of the vineyard is important... Ok, off to the eastern half of our state with the boss today, for a later day of organ tuning etc.... Enjoy the day...........cool and rainy here today, but, nice and unusually warm weekend ahead .. .....Gary

  3. As promised, some photos from our hosts home, both are on the faculty of two very well known area colleges.. Here is the very luxurious table setting for 14 places.... In many years, the smallest gathering so far... Flower accents created by my sister as always....Here, the wine table awaits....another view of the table.....and yes, that is Waterford crystal glassware, and Lenox plates.......closeup of my place setting...Closeup of the fine wine available ...the bird.....our dinner offering of roasted root veggies and freshly halved clementines ...some of the guest's offerings......my vegetarian dinner as plated.........lastly, the dessert table....hope you enjoyed the 'tour'....

  4. Hello and good evening Steve...........no, that would be THIS Sunday evening at a well known Polynesian restaurant... This performance will be VERY unusual for us... It will be the first time since the start of this band that I will be the ONLY keyboardist, and also without our percussionist who will be away.. Since I do not play piano, we have designed the setlist to NOT include any piano intros or other tunes featuring solo piano. We still managed to come up with a 29 song set (2 hours +) Ok, must upload some photos of the Thanksgiving dinner and such for the group....

  8. Trust me i know the label, and many, many more. I cannot go to a Farm and not have these guys throwing something in my truck. I recall when we moved from Sactown to the Burbs 20 miles east, our Apt storage locker had 20+ cases of wine. poped a cork on a bottle from each case, Mold on the cork, purple fuzzy lookin stuff, chit, ok targets for Reno outing! I have since, notified all farmers to turn their cases on their sides for storage.

  10. Good evening friends...... ....Chuck, looks like a good find with those old components! Hope they all work out..let us know.. I played a newly acquired eBay purchase Saturday evening......an Elton John 8 track (Friends) which was never released on CD, but the sealed 8 track played nicely and brought back many memories from that 1974 release... I will send a photo NEXT from the iPad, as it is not on this PC..... Stand by... .........Gary

  13. good morning guys....been a while We are officially in the new place...and well...it's small...lol No pics yet...the wife refuses to store to memory our clutter and obvious over abundance of "stuff" right now...once cleared up and cleaned out I'll post some pics of the new abode. One thing has become glaringly clear....there is no room for the majority of my gear...so I've started selling off....sold a KSW15 to a local forum member last night. Super nice guy but doesn't post much at all...but says he's lurks and reads a ton. If you see this notruck...was great meeting you and seeing your gear. He has a really nice setup with (4) KLF10 (2)C-7's and now (2) KSW15's powered by a mint RX-V3000 Yard Sale this Saturday...what ever gear is left over after that I'm going to post up in the Garage Sale

  15. Always nice to see everything placed correctly. Makes me feel that all is not lost in the world. It may seem trivial to some, but culture, good manners, the ability to show respect to others and show some restraint... we may yet survive. Bruce

  19. Forget Bob and give a nod to Norm Abram with New Yankee Workshop. That guy has seriously mad wood working skills. Then again, it helps when you have a shop with every tool known to man and a few I never knew existed. Very true, he make it look so easy and it's not.

  24. Morning gang Woke up to 40 degrees, beats 27 , "27 is pushing Nippy". Last week in NorCal we had/Have a slight food recall, veggies at 8 different stores, two we shop at, Costco/Wally world. i told the wife to maybe look at the news last week and see just exactly "What" veggies they were so she could avoid. She said we do not partake in "Bagged Veggies", im cool with that. Last night walking through the house, i let her know "Im out of cookies", she said, i will take care of that, but for now "Have a piece Of Celery" Of course she does NOT know of the fact the Recall, as of this morning, Now includes "Celery" Dam good thing i did NOT grab a Jar of JiFF and some Celery stalks last night I allmost did, but know peanut butter is NOT something you eat before going to bed. Of course you just GOT to know im going to have fun with this senerio, 6Am, the morning of my Birthday, apply for SS. 6Pm, offered Celrey Hump Day Eh? The ONLY thing Humpin me is "The Grimm Reaper".

  25. I do both, I don't know about the devil, but more and more of the things I read just get me fired up. So I tend to stay away and post pointless things here and there. What irritate me about Facebook, is the crap people post. I feel that it should be a good way to keep in touch with distant friends and family, which is not what most people do.

  27. I wish I had his wood working skills. You're right though, I'm more the cartoon character type. Now that's not what I was thinking, I didn't care for Bob Vila, he is better at sales (himself) than woodworking, he sold out to Sears for years and his shows proved he didn't do any work himself anymore.

  34. Happy late Tues morning gang. Checking in late. A buddy asked me to attend an early breakfast meeting of some business folks with a motivational speaker. It did not work. I am not motivated. Crap. Mark .. Happy Belated B-day. Sounds like fun and at least interesting; Cold, cloudy day here in Colorado but no new snow. Gotta get our sunshine back or braggin' rights will go down the tubes. Cheers, guys.

  36. I think it's your birthday but I thought it was your birthday the other day so either way what the hell. I would normally say have a good day or something like that but since you have perfected retirement you have that covered. Well have a good birthday, if it was the other day just have a good day anyway, you already know a bunch of different ways to do that. Why not, either way your not getting any younger so do what you can while you still can. Skip the celery Happy Birthday

  37. For some reason, all I see I a small black square with a white "x" in it where the pictures should be. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause I noticed this about a week ago and thought it was just something new. If i was not signed in i would get black squares, sign in and pictures appeared. I have no idea why. I think Chad said something about a forum updated look a while back, he could be messing with something, it's Chad so there's no telling ?

  41. Correct, None of it matters to me. This "New" BS section looks and operates the same as the old, same subjects of the day, same Retoric. The ONLY reason i know of is the old one was removed due to law action being threatened by someone who got upset. As with any Cult, high membership fees = low membership. No one i know of, even cares the BS forum Cult exists, you took yourselfs out before and likely do it again. Klipsch, an Audio related Forum for those with the "Interest in Fine Audio" That is why i came, and will stay. Go argue among yourselfs, or are you getting tired of the other six people?

  42. The Academy is a nice sounding speaker. However i found that a Heresy sounded better as a center between my Cornwalls. I dont know if its the efficiency, three way, or the same tweeter and mid driver that makes the difference. Maybe a combo of all three, but my wife doesn't turn it up as much and we run in dolby more than all channel stereo now.Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

  43. Sheeesh! Everyone comes through here and never lets me know ahead of time. Bruce Gosh darn it Bruce! I'm such an idiot. The only person I could think of with a Tennessee connection was Richard. I had PM'd him asking for bbq recomendations. We ate at Shufords one night. Friday the 27'th we went to several places looking to find a good meal but most were closed.

  47. Since this thread almost fell of the bottom of the page I will bump it up with some pic's. Taken 5 minutes ago, Sasanqua Camellia almost done blooming it's many pink flowers. Behind it is a green Japanese maple with some of it's outer leaves turning red from the cool nights last week. Edit; just noticed pieces of a watermelon I threw in the garden a few day ago, doesn't look great but I throw all kinds of things out there and let it decompose. nothing new.

  48. You don't understand big numbers do you? $45 Billion? not even a drop in the bucket! Try over $18 trillion in debt, there is 1,000 Billion in a Trillion, that is over $18,000 Billion in debt, and you think $45 Billion is going to make a dent in the infrastructure or the economy? If you have $18,000 dollars in your pocket and loose $45, is it going to crimp your style??? Exactly what percentage of your net profit are you spending on charity?? It is really easy to point fingers isn't it? But what charitable donations are you making? Roger
