  1. Manowar - Defender Tora Tora - Phantom Rider MaelStrom - Step One * This whole album is nice. Found it in California after I spent some time in Hawaii. MY sister-in-law and I took in a bit at wine country and while at a music store I got this cassette and a DUNE Laserdisc for my brother. 2. Great tune @Tim Sr.. The majority of people think of Foxy Lady or another great song and totally forget about the message Jimi was truly sending to the people. There was almost always a guitar within reach and he played them all depending on his mood. People should have heard him play the blues. Prolly not much of that out there. I never looked. Insanely good. No guitar he was spinning something.

  7. Yes to this. I have had the HII and that is all correct. I remembered that Bruce had the square cups and I had the round terminal cups, which we thought was strange. A few weeks ago, I found out that the round cups were the 4 Ohm. I have some H 1.5(?) that have the plastic K701 with K53 drivers that are mounted inside. The horns have the crescent cut for the woofer, just like for the HII. I just now bought some H 1.5(?) that had the cast metal K700 horn with the K53 driver. I had it out for the swap, and then Mookie pointed out the threaded-to-flat adapter. His H1 had the K700 with the K55 and my H1.5 had the K700 with the K53 driver. I'm not sure why this is, maybe Klipsch was trying to use the in-stock parts, which was smart.

  8. Today I got water hydrojet massages on a waterbed, I swam and walked a lot .Tomorrow I get a @dirtmudd pack and electrical stimulation against the pain points in my back, I'm curious. The food is now really good, a large selection of menus and salads and non-alcoholic drinks. In general, the days go by very quickly, I've already been here for 5 days. The daily routine is determined by sporting activities, targeted individual medical treatments and information about solutions to health problems. It really is a good clinic, it has repeatedly received awards in recent years as one of the top clinics for orthopaedic treatment

  10. They are '89, wih rectangular terminal cups. A bit of a pain, but came up with a way to finish the second one more easily. They sound great!! Will see after a couple of days. Thanks to Dean for the caps! Super appreciate the help.

  11. Snake Eyes. Scott 299A, 22 years post NOSValves restoration. Other than biasing occasionally, nothing has been done to it. Did some "tube rolling" once to see if I was an "audiophile"...couldn't tell a difference so still just a guy that likes music. Feeding Forte IIs. Nothing to compare it to, it's all I've used since around 2002-2003.

  15. A few photos of a tube amp project completed recently. Two channels, about 20WRMS/ch into 8Ohms. Based somewhat on the Scott 299C output stage but using a solid-state, HV power supply design capable of substantially more power than is required for the push-pull 7591 pairs. Chassis CAD files were sent out for quote, the supplier (New England based) responded with pricing for larger quantities than I was considering. Placed an order for a small lot of chassis assemblies. All metal chassis assemblies are best for RFI/EMI/noise immunity. The chassis assembly is the high-cost item in the build. Uses oversized Hammond or Lundahl output transformers. Still waiting on a few finishing touches (knobs, graphics). Was considering silk screening the top plate but perhaps some other time.

  18. This is crazy, never realized so many iterations of H1.5. Mine are same as H1 save K53, K52 plastic midrange horn. The cabinet is all plywood with the floating thinner 5/8" plywood back. The crossover is E-2 internal on a board. The K53, K52 plastic midrange horn is rear mounted.

  23. I would be playing Vinyl, or R2R but I have to concede to the time it will take to get things back together. Making major moves of ones system, just takes....time. I just have to stick with it and be able to realize "Some form of" the joy of the completed system. Until then... YouTube! or other Flac and the what nots.

  26. By golly I think you might make it afterall. You're surrounded by all kinds of valuable information that will help you immensely physically and mentally. Take advantage of it and apply as needed. Getting older is crazy. I've not got both my girls on my case about eating better and doing something physical. Diabetes sucks. Cut out 90% of fast food about a year ago and cooking smarter at home. Slowly replacing diet soda w/water and listening to my youngest jockette. She drinks a gallon of water EVERY day. She's got her routine and does it daily. Hot yoga, whatever that is, and runs a couple miles daily coupled with scripture & motivational readings. Now she's getting the oldest dialed in. She's lost 30 pounds and watches everything she eats. Now she has the kids doing it. Crazy! I'm out numbered. Got my water jug sittin here though. Sunny and about 73 this afternoon. Strange weather for sure here in Duckburg.

  31. I of course can not say to the CD or other media except the vinyl, which is one of the smoothest recordings I own. Got this back in the mid 70's on a fluke, and just loved it from the get-go. It is one of the few vinyl pressings I use for testing and evaluation of sound. @MicroMaraGlad you liked it

  36. So, after thinking about it, speaking with the folks at Klipsch and taking in all of the great advice from all of you, here is what I think that I am doing. I'm probably going with the Heresy IV'S. If for some reason I feel that they need more bottom end I'll pick up a Rel HT/1510 at some point. This also gives me the opportunity later on to move the entire setup into my 20X20 spare bedroom/studio in order to grab something higher end and a set of Cornwalls for the living room. Who knows, maybe at that point I'll do something ridiculous and go larger than the Cornwalls.

  39. Bruce, thanks for your follow up! How much is the system that you would recommend? AL.

  40. Bruce, thanks for your follow up! As far as $$$$, some thing reasonable under $200.00. I have seen the devices boost the signal for A/V cable going over 100 feet. I thought about going that route but blowing anothe hole in a concrete block foundation in some thing I'm trying to avoid. The signal only needs to go 30 feet, AL.

  41. I have a set on KG-5.5 towers and they have a pointed fine mesh cover in the middle of the Tractrix horn, do all the K-85-K horns have this fine mesh cover? What is it for? I looking into buying a extra set of K-85-K horns and did not see this cover on them, can I buy this or is this something that Klipsch dropped? AL.

  46. Thanks for your follow up! I think the KLF-C7 would be a perfect match to the KG 5.5/KG 1.5 that I currently have. I will be selling the RC-35 I have now because it doesn't match the sound of the KGs. Let me know all the details on the KLF-C7 as far as condition when it's available and what you would like for it. I think the KLF-C7 would be a better match then the Acadamy series, let me know, AL.
