Genesis Revisited: Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a live album by musician Steve Hackett. It was recorded at the Royal Albert Hall, London, during the second UK leg of a tour around the release of Genesis Revisited II. It features a full set from the show performed on 24 October 2013, including 18 Genesis songs. The box set features the full live show across two CDs and on one DVD, together with a further DVD containing two documentaries. It's a bit pricey but well worth every penny! .

  7. I don't have the LP, but I do have the Blu-ray DVD. In my opinion, it is a very good DVD with nice video quality and listening to it in DTS 5.1 Surround through a 5.1.2 setup, with a glass of Merlot of course, is outstanding!

  15. Yes, they were not the best of pictures. Since seller still has them, for a rare pair in apparent nice condition. You may be the first to demo them and either go away happy or sad. At least you will know more without having to be concerned with the interior of speakers, unless it comes up. Make an offer of 900 and watch his reaction. Got to start somewhere. Given time, someone will score them. @luca78

  24. I don't mean to be a stinker, but what really sounds the best is the old Heritage line: Chorus II and Forte II. Ever since they were discontinued and the Epics premiered it's been...different. I haven't listened to much of the new Ref line so there is some hope I guess. Long live the Forte II. Heck, even some of the old Kg line was pretty good, the 3.2 and 5s. There is my 2 cents. ------------------ James D. Orth

  25. I own the PW-2200 and it is a monster! Who wants mail order if something goes wrong with it? You can't interact with those you are giving all of the $$$. The output of the PW2200 is simply awesome. I have Forte IIs, which are no slouch, and the PW-2200 never EVER skips a beat (while other subs such as M&K, Velodyne have). I have had it for 3 months and it is better each and every time I hear it. You will not be disappointed, that is a quarantee. The Servo 15 is its big brother, and as you must know, is very highly regarded, ever hear of the trickle down effect...the PW-2200 has benefited from this. I am a fan of the 'old' Klipsch, and have to say that many of Paradigms current models are a better value sound/$ than the 'new' Klipsch. Have fun with the Paradigm. J. ------------------ James D. 26. I think I'll get the pw2200 in black. I have never thought that a sub would help that much either (since the Forte II does such a nice job), but I think a sub like the 2200 will be a nice addition. I once owned an M&K MX 90 and was running it with Quartets and it was nice-but the 2200 is MUCH better than the MX90 was...So, I think I'll go for it! Any other hints about the 2200? And, what did you get it for? J.

  27. Hey. No, I don't have the dipolar surrounds. I saw that they were the same as my Kg1s, just X2. I heard them with the rest of the Klipsch THX system (pre DD or DTS) and they sounded pretty good. But, not as good as the M&K THX system of that 'era'.

  30. from the research I'm doing, the model seems to be prior to 1975, and the woofers should be with an alnico magnet 2G332 seems to be 332 unit produced in 1969. How can you tell it's not alnico? in Italy they ask 1600/1800 euros for a pair of used heresy IIIs, a little less for the heresy II and heresy I. These would be close to where I live, and the fact that it is a "historic" model fascinates me a lot. If the seller was willing to negotiate the price below 1000 euros I could consider purchasing them, provided they are in excellent condition.

  31. I think we had one baptism, one conditional baptism, with six total coming into the Church. And yes, WH is about the only thing open at that time of night. Well, the nearest WH to the church is up in Boone. Being that it’s a college town(AppState) there were a bunch of bars still open but that wasn’t what the kids were interested in.

  39. Well, my gravel didn't work out in time. Their truck couldn't fit in the hood. Got another says he can that lives on the other side of the hill I'm on. Three colors of rocks. Gray 200ft driveway, tan where the small yard would be but won't, and another next to the house where flowerbeds would be for someone else. Planning that out next week. Last week it was these top-dog ceiling fans that aren't anymore and cost a good bit less. Today on the way home it was much improved tires from the lower than tigerpaw that they slapped on my ride to cut their losses in the sale of it. While I was at it, asked the guy if their were any deals on mags. Yes and order made that wasn't ever paid for or picked up. That took a couple weeks but this is the result. Before 9.3" wide tires, after 10.4" Before the stock Acura "Shark" wheels. Now nice looking ones that won't be incredibly hard to wash!

  40. This is the third time in as many days that I've seen this. The original universal would work with the Klipschorn, LaScala, and Belle Klipsch. There was a different network for the Cornwall, and that network could be modified to work in the Heresy. Now there is one network that works in all of them? I have a table of values that Al sent me when I was building this stuff for him. The cap/coil combinations should change based on the loudspeaker you're using the networks in. Just curious -- did you specify Heresy when you ordered them? Anyways, the Universal is more detailed with sharper boundary presentation, but the sound isn't nearly as cohesive as the Klipsch networks. Many of us have went the ALK route, only to return home.

  42. With regard to the Forte, Chorus discussion going here. There was a comment about not understanding why the Fortes (IIs?) would have greater bass than the Forte IIs...why not! There are two-way six inch drivers that go much lower than the Chorus or Chorus II!!! It is a blend of driver, the driver's natural resonance, what the cabinent is 'tuned' to, what the cross-overs are like, etc. If you see the frequency response curves the Forte II does indeed have higher output at 32 Hz than the Chorus II, so, this could lead to the perception of there being more bass-based on what we hear. But, at 25Hz and lower how do the speakers compare? Also, bigger does not always mean more bass. Accoording to Klipsch the old Kg1s and Heresys both were rated down to 50 Hz - is this true? Also, the Forte II has a slight hump in the bass region, for whatever reasons, combination of driver/cross-over/cabinet, etc., perhaps by design, whereas the Chorus II are VERY VERY flat, perhaps by design? So, why it is hard to believe that a speaker has 'more' bass than another (bigger one) is silly. Buy what you like, what you can afford, and what sounds the best to you. I should qualify this by saying that I own Forte IIs, and they do have outstanding bass performance, I audtioned those against Chorus IIs when I got them. The Chorus IIs were 'flatter' sounding to me...that is not to say less dyanamic, but rather more even at all frequencies at a set output, (ie, they were 100 db at 15kHz and 100 db at 50 Hz, while the Forte IIs were 100 db at 15kHz, and 105 at 50 Hz). With test discs with a lot of extreme low-end bass I felt the Forte II was a slightly better perfomer, for whatever reason, perhaps because of the 'exaggerated' content at 35-80Hz...Because I listened to a lot of music with a lot of low-end, I got the Forte IIs. Any way you go, you are GOLDEN, and should feel lucky and privelaged to own these, perhaps underappreciated, pieces of audio history. Happy listening!!! ------------------ James D. Orth

  43. Let me preface my reply by first saying that I have owned Klipsch, M$K (yes, $, they are overpriced) and Paradigm subs. I have owned Kg1s, and Forte IIs for 10 and 7 years, respectively. I currently own a Paradigm PW-2200 (see my review on audioreview.com) and in my opinion it is one of the top AT LEAST 10 subs out there, regardless of price, with its big brother, the Servo-15 raking in the top 3. Until Klipsch has a sub ranked as Sterophile recommended for at least three years running I wouldn't consider it a match for the Servo-15. This isn't to say that it won't be great, or even better than the Servo-15, it is just to say that Klipsch has not proven that it can manufacture a durable, world class sub (LF problems, hum problems, back panels falling off, etc.). I think that the market has forced Klipsch to make amplified subs, which is not their...forte, shall we say. Hopefully, with the acquisition of Mondial, a very fine ampifiler company among other things, will help propel Klipsch into the top of the powered sub universe. I think the M&K MX5000 (if you can afford it) and Velodyne 18 inch, and Servo 15 (with several others from 'smaller' manufacturers) are the top contenders right now. A year from now maybe that will have changed. Go Klipsch! Surprise us with your subwoofer prowess! J. ------------------ James D. Orth
