I will do so soon.... Work has been swamped...... Also, still need one more foam edge to cover the surround edge.......

For $300 you could do better. If they were pristine; I would say it would have been a pretty good deal. (My Heresy Is were $250; roughish cabinets; but I patched missing veneer and lightly sanded and oiled the hell out of them). The Heresy I cabs are solid compared to the Tangents. Chisox; when you get around to doing the cabs; I would love to see....... [] Rongon.... Good Luck on the RF3 experiments!

Lyle, Awesome info! That is a great procedure to do "next time"....... (I was really worried about the L 125A woofers ripping when I removed the dust caps).... This will be useful in the future; I am sure..... [Y]

I would think that is the only option if you are unable to resolve this..... ~$100.... Good Luck....

Thebes, Thanks for making me laugh out loud........ I think you could also add an amendment about kicking or bumping the speakers in any way...... (AND THE RECEIVER ALSO SHOULD APPLY REGARDING BEER; ETC)...... The immotal words of JB.... TOP NOTCH!!!

You likely have a short inside. Remove the plate amp and look for crispy resistors or transistors. Your amp will likely need service. If you are great with electronics repair; a schematic has been found on the web...... Good Luck.

I have wondered this, but come to the conclusion Rick has many hot girlfriends....... (Avatar is always changing with various pretty women)...... Sorry if I am wrong Rick..... [:$]

What Up Pimp! As mentioned; Welcome! This place is addictive; because it fuels the speaker addiction. That setup looks killer. Klipsch is my #1 love; but there are lots of great speakers and gear out there. When you get them Belles or LaScalas; post some pics! (I also concur; do not shave the beard)..... [Y]

I agree. If their pricing does not improve; their business will not benefit. (I get they are cutting out a lot of overhead; but as mentioned; what is the incentive for the customer?)

LMAO!!!!! Mighty F, you hit the nail on the head!

The sub "crawl" is an effective way to find ideal placement. As well as listening while you're moving around the room you can use an SPL meter. Rennoc, I agree with CECAA. Also, just wanted to point out that the RSW15 is an *** kicker of a sub. (Expensive, but one of the better subs Klipsch has offered). I suggest trying the crawl as well as the location you want (under the Heresy center). Maybe it will work out that they coincide....... (If not; you could fabricate a nice stand for the Heresy center; or use risers). Good Luck!

My name is Matthew and I am a Klipsch addict...... It's been 4 days since my last speaker related purchase......... []

Klipschorns take a beating and keep on kicking!

Wow! Glad they survived; and hoping your ears did not suffer anything long term. -
The best way to get a sub placed well= Put the sub in the listener's position....... Play music (including the sub). Walk (or some prefer crawling) slowly till you find a spot where the subwoofer is well pronounced; defined; etc. That spot is where you put the sub; and you tweak from there...... Hope that helps..... Enjoy!

I got my surrounds from Parts Express. (I did a bunch of measuring and rechecking to make sure that it would fit). Depending on what exact size you need; I would look there and also Simply Speakers and perhaps Ebay. (Ebay is where I got the L 36 woofer surrounds). I noticed no tonal difference. The buyer was pleased; and said he would not have known if I did not tell him...

Brian, I used butyl surrounds. I did not use a dustcap; as the voice coil gap was larger. (I got it right/ no rubbing; without shimming). If you decide to replace the dust cap and shim properly; I suggest being careful with an exacto knife and you should be able to get it off ok..... It was more of a pain as the glue took longer to set and the rubber did not seem to want to adhere as readily as the foam and paper. Sorry; no pics available on those.......

$225 and missing the remote which I got on Ebay for $30. ( I have the Zone 2 remote and the mic; all paperwork)....... My opinion? A solid deal........ This thing kicks ***! I may have to support the glass panel is lays on; the weight has it flexing about 1/16th of an inch......... Did I mention it BARELY FITS?

The only reason I sold my 7200 was to go to seperates and HDMI. It was a great receiver. I didn't enjoy moving it though . BIG heat sinks. CECA, It was not fun lugging this thing up 2 flights of stairs......... But I can not complain..... Worth it and then some. Right now; I do not care about HDMI, and I am doing most things through my PC. (Optical connection and one extra button to push).

Cliff.... Great minds think alike! [] (I am in no hurry though..... Once we move....... Different story).

ProMedia 2.1 left channel stopped working.

Yep, that qualifies as toasty and crispy. I am not sure of the exact schematic or the rating of that part. (Looks like a cap or resistor of some sort; but IDK). Good Luck.
