  1. The KV-4 goes for the same money as the KLF C-7. From $250.00 to $399.00
  2. I was going to link the Forte's. They were all over his desired price. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=klipsch+forte&sort=rel
  3. How about a nice pair of KLF20's. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ele/5400110499.html
  4. Yeah, I loved the look on his face when Quigley outdrew him. Classic. Who has seen him in another movie he did called Bottleshock. Worth seeing if you missed it.
  5. A great story and the comments below are also entertaining.
  6. Dents in dust caps can often be pulled out and then disappeared, using a piece of tape. Lay a strip of tape into the dent and carefully lift and see what happens.
  7. He says he will discuss shipping.
  8. If anyone is interested in a great deal for a pair of Belles, just saw this over at Audiogon. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/full-range-klipsch-b-k-wo-belle-klipsch-loudspeaker-systems-2015-12-07-speakers-80124-littleton-co
  9. I would like to hear more on a comparison between the 2. The Kef is quite a bit more expensive and has lots of praise on the forums as well.
  10. Maybe not today, but from what I have been reading it soon will be. http://4k.com/news/hdcp-causes-problems-for-4k-content-delivery-to-consumers-6044/
  11. one fairly important feature to look for in a new receiver is whether it is hdcp 2.2 compatible, which this one is not.

    The Hateful Eight

Here is a little article I found. Perhaps it is one you have already read. http://nofilmschool.com/2015/08/quentin-tarantino-hateful-eight-anamorphic-65mm-70mm-film-panavision-ultra-70-trailer

    The Hateful Eight

An interesting bit of trivia perhaps, saw that Quentin was going to be on Colbert's show a few weeks back and recorded it. In the show, he mentioned that he used the same lenses as they did in the movie Ben-Hur and a couple of other wide screen films of that era. he then added, that what me meant by that is that they were the exact lenses used in those movies. I thought that pretty cool.
  14. I have liked Magnepan speakers since I first heard them. The 1.6's sound great and are a fun speaker to play around with. Go for it.
  15. I have heard demos of the B&W 802 since they first arrived at the high end audio shops. My most recent listen was at a Magnolia room. It was a nice sealed quiet room, they were powered by 300 watt Mcintosh monos. I found their soundstage shrunken, vocals sounded miniature. I have become used to my Epic CF3's. With their 9"x13" horn centered between the 2 10" drivers, they put out a huge bold effortless voice that just makes ones listening experience much more enjoyable and the hearing of little 1" tweeters far from ideal. Pass.
  16. It is not just about the price of high end gear, it is also what you can sell them for down the road on Audiogon. Offer the guy at the store $11,000 with tax for the B&W 802's. listen to them for awhile and resell them on audiogon for a profit. https://app.audiogon.com/listings/full-range-b-w-bowers-wilkins-802-diamond-d2-piano-black-mint-condition-2015-11-25-speakers-06483-seymour-ct
  17. Just a vid someone sent me recently, among a couple of others in the same vain and passing it on.
  18. Speaking of John Williams score, you may find this of interest.
  19. According to the videos I linked, before Bernays, people bought things when they needed them and manufacturers wanted to change that. One of his main contributions was to implant in the human mass psyche the need to buy things not because they needed them but because they will feel better about themselves by owning them, even though there is no truth to that. And he wedded commerce with living a democratic and free society in that the true freedom of the people is found in buying whatever you want and also to create a society based on discontent and the need for more and more. So, the main goal of all this is to "placate the masses with the purchase of goods, while those in power can continue to stay in it" as stated in the first video that is. He also is responsible for starting everyday people in investing in the stock market so that they would have the illusion that they are part owners in things. Truly amazing what this one guy did with the knowledge of his uncle Sigmund Freud, that man at is core is irrational and needs to be guided for his own good. He is the first person to introduce product placement in movies and to use celebrities to endorse products to induce the masses to long for what they didn't have and into buying frenzies.
  20. https://thoughtmaybe.com/the-century-of-the-self/ the vids linked above, I discovered on AVS forum. They are long but interesting. They will show the birthplace of our commerce based society was basically created by two guys- Sigmund Freud and his nephew.

    pulsating tinnitus

no I have not , and for the last 3 weeks I only used HP because my main system was getting upgraded I would make it a point then to give your ears a rest from anything that seems too loud and see if it gets better. I definitely had the feeling that I damaged my ears from the volume I had it at.

    pulsating tinnitus

I experienced that for a couple of days in my left ear last year and attributed it to an extra loud listening session. Whether it was the Epic CF3's pounding before me or my subs which sit near field on either side of my couch, I am not sure. It did not last for weeks though. Have you been giving your ears a rest from loud music for awhile or not.
  23. And if you need some nice matching surrounds, here are some CF-3's for only $1500. http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/ele/5300223358.html Strangely, the same ad is on the San Diego, Ca. craigslist as well. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ssd/eld/5317258362.html
  24. I might as well throw in my own chip amp purchase. It is my 4th t-amp over the years. This has been a great little amp so far and fairly powerful for t-amp at 50 watts aside at 4ohms. It is also a headphone amp, has 3 inputs- a usb connection, digital coax and left and right rca analogs. Can handle hi-rez music, digital volume, with a remote control. http://www.amazon.com/Signstek-TP-32EX-Upgrade-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B00EO0SEPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447795514&sr=8-1&keywords=topping+tp-32ex
  25. And if you need some nice matching surrounds, here are some CF-3's for only $1500. http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/ele/5300223358.html Nice to see higher prices on the Epic line, though I think it is a bit of wishful thinking on their parts. The CF3's are not version 1's as the guy says, unless he replaced the longer ports with shorter versions.
