  1. Checked out P.W.B. website. Wow.... Complete [bs] From site: "Align the slots in all screw heads so that the slots are parallel to the earth's surface." "Place a plain piece of paper under any ONE of the four feet of a piece of equipment." He forget the one where you put a penny on the top of each front corner of you speakers. Thanks for the laughs...
  2. All those people who send money to these TV preachers. There are a lot of very rich preachers. A fool and his money are soon parted. If you think about it, there always have and always will be many scams and scam artist out for easy pickins'.
  3. Groomlakearea51 wrote: Now this is hilarious!! Check the reference sources at the end of the page..... http://www.roger-russell.com/notone/notone.htm Good one. There are probably customers of the other site contacting Roger to buy these speakers. [:^)]
  4. This guy has a site full of bogus audio snake oil products and sales them for BIG money. Are there really that many stupid enough people who are actually buying his stuff or do you think the reviews from his supposedly buyers are bogus too? I couldn't make up an April fools audio tweaks site as good as his. Do you really think he's making money selling this stuff?
  5. That's a beautiful turntable! Congratulations. I bet you have a big smile on your face.[]
  6. I can't believe people buy this junk. The saying, "There's a sucker born every minute." must be true. He gets good feedback too. People crack me up. LOL... [bs]
  7. I checked out all your other photos while there too. Very impressive. You do very nice work. You sure have a lot of work a head of you on this project. It's clear you know what you're doing, are very good at it, and enjoy doing it. Keep us posted. Wow...
  8. I was wondering if that was your own music. [8]
  9. Cool... This one too. Be fun if more forum members made videos too.
  10. I just make sure I put a nice bead of wood glue on the boards I'm joining together. After they're screwed together, I'll run my finger down the excess glue that squeezed out to make a nice seal. After the glue dries, it shrinks some and I'll have to add a little here or there to make sure I have a complete air tight seal. It's a must to have the cabinet completely air tight, be it a sealed or ported cabinet. I use to silicone, but have found that wood glue alone does the job just fine.
  11. Thank you. Being able to move the top down and out toward the listening position really helps. I'm using the stock horns. My tweeters can be positioned vertical (as EV suggests) or back for time alignment. Tweeters are flush mounted. The false corners have their own sides, tops, and bottoms that are silicone and screwed together. I used silicone so I could take them apart if needed for moving them out of the room because they're too big to fit through the door. The Klipschorn bass bins just slide into the false corners. I removed the Klipschorn tail boards and made more solid ones out of 3/4" MDF and sealed and screwed them directly to the false corners for a better seal. The boards that flare out from the front of the Klipschorn's bass bins to the front of the false corners helped more. Those boards slide in after the bass bin is in. The top and bottom boards of the false corners help a lot too. I'll add a photo of right speaker for the heck of it.
  12. If you want to try this on the cheap, just cut some racket or tennis balls in half, place a halved ball cut side to floor and on each corner of speaker.
  13. triceratops, Thank you for the videos. I really enjoyed them. I've never been to that site before and will spend some time there now viewing other videos. srobak, Wow... What a shame.
  14. You're a lucky man Trey. Wonderful wife, great kids, awesome job, and all these crazy forum buddies. Congratulations on twenty wonderful years and to many more. [^]
  15. It's kind of hard to find a room that's set up for Klipschorns.
  16. If the people who filled the potholes with the blacktop would take the time to compact it into the pothole, it would stay in the pothole a lot better. Mostly they just fill the pothole and leave the blacktop loose for the vehicles to compact. The blacktop then just tends to stick to the tires, dragged out of the holes, all over the cars, and down the road it goes. They make hand and very good air tools for this compaction job. I guess lunch time rolls around before they can put them to good use though.
  17. $7,000 per speaker? Do they come with the small or the huge HF horn?
  18. This is also a good Amy Winehouse video. What do you think of this one?
  19. A lot of stuff is marked up that much. My experience with Monster audio and video cable places me where I'll never buy it again though.
