  1. I liked it better the way it was. What was wrong with it? Why do you keep changing it? I understand updating and improving but...
  2. I've used computer fans with transformers from old phones and answering machines and had good luck. The lower voltage transformers runs the fans slower. I just pick a transformer with the voltage that servers its use best for speed for cooling verses noise. I do like the one 220 volt fan running on 110 volts I have better though. It runs very quiet and smooth! I'd like to get more of those. Who sells those 220 volt fans?
  3. seti, Congratulations! You have some beautiful Klipschorns! Your attitude is wonderful. Have fun a long the process of fixing them up. I did with mine and enjoy them more because of it.
  4. Yes. I hear it from my Klipschorns and it bothers me too. I've read La scala and Belle owners complain of this woody sound too. Is it possible that the wood horn itself is causing it? There's a lot of wood in these speakers and it's being resonated. They're folded horns too causing those sound waves to hit that wood hard and change directions. Woody and boxy are two words I've used to describe it.
  5. Would those be right for my 78 Khorns? If so, I'm interested.
  6. What's your thoughts on this? No connection to seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/Altec-Open-Baffle-Kit-for-604-and-755A-Superb-Sound_W0QQitemZ160153831550QQihZ006QQcategoryZ50597QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

  8. Wish I lived close enough. Wow...
  9. DrWho, You may want to check out Pink Floyd Live At Pomoeii too. It's an earlier movie concert release on DVD. * Watch the original film version!* Not the director's cut. Also, thank you to everyone telling us who could not attend how it all went and all the great photos.
  10. Great pictures. The one of PWK is real nice. Have you sent a copy of that one to his son? Thank you.
  11. I was approached by the boys in a white van with speakers once in a parking lot about five years ago. They gave me their pitch about having extra pairs that were given to them by their own place of work by mistake and wanting to unload them for quick cash. They wanted $250 or so. My street since clued me in right away. I only looked at the boxes of speakers they had to see their scam product. The box the speakers were in listed retail value of over one thousand. They even just happen to have a nice laminated card with all the specs and retail value of these extra speakers they just happen to have. I listened to their whole spill and got a big kick out of it all. I offered them $20 just to mess with them. No sale. It was fun for me.
  12. I check local craigslist and ebay daily and need nothing too. Will buy if it's a good deal though. I've got some good deals off both. Just picked up a nice used Carver CD player for $20 off craigslist local a few weeks a go a few miles from my house. No remote and I had to fix a little something with it, but it is perfect now.
