HowieM, I think around this forum "rare" means an unusual veneer or grill cloth, or in the case of Cornwalls, the old "vertical" models that were designed to lie in two different orientations are also quite rare to find (especially in good condition). Also the "decorator" models are fairly rare although IMHO the beauty of those is in the eye of the beholder. Without supporting photos showing the condition of the cabinets and grill cloths to be in IMMACULATE condition "rare" is a confusing and possibly misleading characterization. I recently bought a pair of '87 Cornwall II's in New England that I consider to be in perfect condition and sonically superior to your '76 model I's (and yes, I've owned '78 Cornwalls in the past). I understand that uploading photos to the forum is a pain and I can't help you in that regard. Maybe you could post a link to some photos or use the PM feature to contact interested parties so you could provide them photos via text or email. You're asking a VERY pretty penny for your Cornwall I's and I doubt you'll have much luck on this forum without lots of supporting evidence of their condition.

There is a pair on Rhode Island Craigslist for $200. Looks like they're in decent shape. Darrell

Hi Chris (and Mark!). Chris, I don't think I ever met you, but I share your feelings about Josh. He was a great guy and very generous with his equipment. I had the pleasure of attending a couple of amp shootouts when I lived in the Bay Area (Mark even came to the first one- that was a special treat). Josh lugged his pCats over to my house for our second one. He was always very open to listening to other people's gear and supportive of their opinions. I went over to his house once, where I got to hear his beautiful stereo with custom Belles. He sent me home with his Rega Apollo to audition in my system. I moved away from Cali last year and tried to contact Josh to say goodbye, only to learn he had passed away. Was very sorry to hear that. And Mark, welcome back! I pretty much only lurk around here anymore. Wasn't ever much of a poster anyway. I always enjoyed your components, was sad to sell my Blueberry and pCats (and Khorns and Belles!) when I moved. Still have a smaller system with Heresies and tubes. Would be great to find a little Klipsch cadre in New England to hang out with. I live in Rhode Island now. Darrell

Hi guf, I live in Oakland, and have stock Belles (similar in size to La Scalas- but with a different mid-horn), and Chorus IIs in a small room, running currently on 300B SET. In a couple of weeks, when construction at my house is completed, you are welcomed to come over for an audition. If you like them, I could be persuaded to sell my Chorus IIs. They might be a good match in your room, but I'm not sure how they would mate with 45 amps. Darrell

Hello David, I fit your bill, and not only do I have Khorns, but also Belles, Chorus IIs and Heresies, in two different rooms and multiple amplification systems (mostly tubes). In one of my systems the configuration is this: Rega Apollo CDP>Wright Mono 7s (300b Monoblocks)> Belles. It is the sweetest, most resolving configuration I've had. Mind you, the room is not large, I sit about 10' from the speakers, and the volume generally peaks at, in my estimation, about 90-95 db. This works especially well with older CDs, those from around the mid 1990's. For newer CDs (post Loudness War), I need to insert a set of stepped attenuators between the CDP and amps, to bring the levels down.

Daddy Dee, our family has a 2007 Rav4. Bought it new and just turned over 100k miles. I have never had a more reliable car (knock wood). It's a six cylinder; has plenty of power and is very comfortable. From time to time I load it up for my work and it handles a lot of weight with ease. Once put two Belles in it, no problem! D

how is this venue? considered a few shows there in the past; but, have never made it. It'll be my first time there, looks beautiful in the photos. I'll report back if I remember after the show.

Hey all, I lit that video! And the one that we shot a year later, "A Day Made of Glass, Two" or something like that, which is also on youtube. I think the first one was done in 2010. Take stock in glass cleaner indeed. And check out the Pepsi commercial that leads in to today's Super Bowl halftime show, if you're not headed to the bathroom or fridge. We shot the girl in the tunnel with the Pepsi machine and the crowd scene stadium shot about three weeks ago, on a cold night at the new Cal Bears stadium in Berkeley. D

Johnny Marr's solo record from the 90's (Johhny Marr and the Healers "Boomslang") is one of my all time favorite driving records. Guitar-based English rock, a very solid effort. I've long looked forward to a second release, but he's now playing with Modest Mouse, I think. D
