Imo, don't be hung up on the specs if it's as you describe...Fwiw, I found out my Klipsch speakers are overrated in their Sensitivity but I never felt the need to complain...Watching/listening to several U2 concerts tonight and don't feel gypped whatsoever!--Rock on and Happy New Year!

I wouldn't upgrade until you notice a difference or are disappointed in what you watch and wait for it to bite the dust. Otoh, if you have extra cash and looking for an upgrade now, purchasing a 4k unit could last you another 10 years. I wouldn't be looking for a bulb/housing in that price range given what you report. That's my 2 cents (American).

It seems I misunderstood the question, but I wouldn't use it as a Center channel with L & R speakers. It would be like having 3 centers that aren't voice-matched to the mains and neither is what you want in Home Theater...Otoh, it is a nice looking sound bar if that's what you are looking for.

I wouldn't use it as a Center channel because of the quoted comment. My guess is it wouldn't work with either a Heritage or Reference HT system

I'm not against trying to fix something that could be useful but not having owned one I was thinking the same thing.

It's still that way in DFW and I noticed we set the record high on Christmas day at 82 degrees, which was only 7 degrees higher than on July 4th. 😮Right now it's 72...

Amsterdam has changed alot since I used to frequent it in person, but Dam Square hasn't and is cool to visit virtually.

Imo, the reality seems to be he wants something that fits and sounds good and he won't look back after the decision is made. He has some good recommendations and if they don't work he could go the harder route.
