  1. I agree totally. Something went wrong with the duller sheet of veneer. The more I look at the photo, the grayer veneer is the distressed oak and the browner veneer is the "standard" version of stained oak. Must have been low lighting in the factory the day these were veneered. Bill
  2. No flame from me. It's an opinion piece and you call it as you see(hear) it. Rock on. Bill
  3. IMO, send it back. You paid good money for showroom quality speakers and that is not what you have. Things do happen but a good dealer will make it right. Maybe they will let you keep them until the replacement pair arrives. Bill
  4. @creed2, Welcome to the forum. I own the Heresy 1 and Heresy 2 and both in their own way sound wonderful. Both are a great way to get your feet wet for not a whole bunch of $$$. Deals on NOS Heresy 3's might be found if you search long and hard enough. What I found most appealing about the Heresy is that it is not rally amplifier picky and can sound great with just about any amp, IMO. Bill
  5. Have you heard them? If so, how do they sound? Bill
  6. It looks like some kind of hybrid La Scala bass reflex version. Bill
  7. Okay, how much does he want to get off his hands? Bill
  8. @Sancho Panza, This is very sad news. So sorry for your loss. Kendall was a big part of this community/family and sure will be missed. Prayers for you and his family. Bill
  9. @lifeisgoodsteve, Welcome to the forum. You have a decent pair of speakers there. Not sure either if the stated rules forbid, but "auctioning" goods on the Klipsch Forum is very frowned upon. Asking for advice on pricing is okay and most members will be as fair as they can when responding to price suggestions. Geographic location, condition, desirability/demand will play into things. A little more going on here than a pushed in woofer dust cap, but it can be improved/replaced. With that said, I(me) would put your speakers in a price range of $400.00 to $500 provided they function as intended. Bill
  10. I have owned this stand for about 10 years. The “weakest” shelf has a maximum weight limit of 80 pounds and the strongest over 100 pounds. Not sure of the exacts but it was bought to accommodate my RC-64’s height and weight. Bill
  11. Fantastic story and Armando, welcome to the forum. Your previous mindset and “disdain” for Klipsch speakers is slowly becoming a thing of the past for many as they are now being “properly” introduced to the Klipsch offerings, older, newer, and new and improved incarnations of what started it all. Bill

  13. @Dan.ludwig@hotmail.com, Welcome to the forum. Are you willing to go the used gear route? What is your budget for an integrated amp? This CA has plenty of grunt to make those woofers thump. https://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649717946-cambridge-azur-840a/ Bill
  14. I can't guarantee that but before I bought my RS-35s, I had a pair of RSX-4s as surrounds with my RF-63/RC-64 combo. I thought they all sounded good together. Bill
  15. As you probably already know, your speakers setup is not the most timbre matched but since it sounds really good to you, that is all that matters. With that said, the RS-35s are very capable surround speakers and I have enjoyed my pair for close to a decade. Had many opportunities to "upgrade" to either the RS-52s or RS-62s for pretty cheap but decided if it ain't broken, no need to do it. That is the place I started and still at today. Bill
  16. @Lodi781, Welcome to the forum. We have all been there. Yes they are worth keeping. Set it all up and see(hear) what you got. Bill
  17. @Tim Cordle, Welcome to the forum. Your Yamaha stereo receiver has plenty of grunt to power your speakers with ease. I'll bet it has something to do with the TT. Bill
  18. @Weltfaul, Welcome to the forum. Very nice rig you have there. Those Heresy IVs IIIs will bring out the best your very fine audio gear has to offer. Enjoy. Bill
  19. It is all good.👍 I think we are on the same page. Bill
  20. Yes but the RB-5s are shorter and rear ported. Klipsch does do a pretty good job with their cherry vinyl veneer. When I first got my "cherry" RB-35s, I had to do a double take at them even though I knew it was vinyl. Bill
  21. Legendary round. You knew from the onset that either could take the other out and it was not going to last past 3 rounds with a pace like that. RIP MMH. Bill
  22. All I needed to see was the natural cherry veneer. Bill

Great amp. I had the A100x3 for a while and it was very nice, sounded much more powerful than it's spec'd 100w/ch. Good luck with your sale. Bill
  24. With a room at minimum 3400ft3 + the other open areas, you need a pair of the PB-2000s to get even close to "pressurizing" that space for high impact action movie scenes. I had an RSW-10d and a Revel B15 in my 4000ft3 room and that just was not enough to "feel" action movies the way they should be experienced. I added an SVS SB13 Plus to the mix and that is when I finally felt pretty satisfied with my HT rig. Bill
