Heresy II mid horn and tweeters an option for DIY Belle?
avguytx replied to avguytx's topic in Technical/Restorations
Since these will be a DIY Belle, I'm open for options on the top end. I'm thinking I'll scrap this idea. It was one of those later in the night ideas that I should have kept to myself. haha. Still deliberating on doing a 2 versus 3 way and would like to go 2-way but seems like the Fatial HF140 or HF200 is the main best options for them. Kind of out of my reach at the moment. -

In researching for what I could find, it may be that the K-52 can't be crossed much lower than 600Hz. Still looking. -
FS: Dell D630 Laptops W7 Pro x86 120gb HD 3gb Memory
avguytx replied to avguytx's topic in Garage Sale
One Dell sold and Bytespeed sold. There is one Dell left at the moment. I may have another one but I'm having trouble getting it to hold a charge with a new battery and charger. Still digging into that one. -

I have two more of the Dell D630's for sale....still $90 shipped CONUS. Also have a Bytespeed laptop but need to get more specs on it and post if anyone is interested. The Bytespeed is a 15.6", Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz with 2GB of RAM but I'm going to bump it to 3 or 4GB. With 4GB installed, it will see about 3.5GB of it but that's still better. Runs quite good overall. Does have a DVD drive, too. Has VGA & S-video out plus a 1394 port. It will be set up the same as the others. I'm asking $100 for this one. -
I shoulda saved those....they were darn good.

Some of Neal Schon's (Journey) solo stuff is phenomenal and sounds great, too. Beyond the Thunder and Piranha Blues are two of my faves.

Well darn.... Pictures are gone.

Maybe something from Tangent line, too. T4000, 5000, etc.

$1500 is considered fair now? -
Once again, so far away... My dad lived in Ft Collins for 25+ years and I lived there for a short time. Had an advertising company called Eagle Marketing. Nice area. Someone get those for me! haha

I have two of them that are in my kids' rooms but they only use them for Netflix and PlexTV to be able to watch the DVD's on my server. I have a Roku3 in the master bedroom and an Amazon Fire Stick (running Kodi) that can both access Sling TV where the Apple TV can't. I just have them becasue we had leftover Apple TV 2's after the school I'm at quit using them because they had issues when they were too close and they just didn't really work great for education.

Should I flag this one? Epic CF-3s in SLC - outrageous asking price
avguytx replied to Alpha Lima's topic in Alerts!
Id almost flag it just for stupidity. Way high. -
I sold mine for $800. I had stripped and repainted black satin, rebraced cabinets, and added titanium tweeter diaphragms. Never sounded better than my CF-3's so they were booted.

Those C604's are some nice sounding speakers for HT use. I was the rep for Integra when the DTR-7.1 first came out and up until the 7.6 or so. Older receiver but decent.

Klipsch Epic CF-3 without serial numbers?
avguytx replied to Lost240's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I found thick cardboard tube from a carpet supply store locally that was outside by the trash. It's 1/4" thick and very solid. Lowes has some that they let me have but I found the other stuff later. The low end is much more solid and very well extended. I have no complaints at all. The drivers are all stock...I'm not really worried about "upgrading" them. -

There are some attachments on this thread I started about my CF-3 v3's where I was updating mine. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/151367-crossover-diagramsp-for-various-cf-3s/?hl=%2Bavguytx+%2Bcf-3#entry1757211 Then this one where they're done. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/152523-klipsch-cf-3-crossovers-updatedmuch-better/?hl=%2Bavguytx+%2Bcf-3+%2Bcrossover#entry1889550 -
Overpriced as always.

Before I turned off Satellite, we were paying $125 a month to Dish and $55 for 6mb DSL internet. Now, I'm paying $55 for 18mb cable internet, $8 for Netflix and $22 for SlingTV. So about $85 for everything, including internet, versus $180 before. If I drop SlingTV off till football season, I'd be back at $63.
-
We used OTA, Netflilx, and Sling TV at home. Internet speed is 18mb up and 2 down. I wish I had our school internet speed at home...550mb down and 200 up. I really only have SlingTV for ESPN so I may cut it off as I don't think any others in the house watch it. Well, maybe my son on his iPad. In the living room, I use an Amazon Fire Stick running KODI and have all sorts of other add ons for other channels, movies, etc.

La Scala setup wvu80 (Charging capacitors?)
avguytx replied to wvu80's topic in Technical/Restorations
So as it stands, what do you feel are the comparisons in the CF-4's and the LaScala's? What did you gain with one and lose with the other?
