  1. maybe @Trey Cannon isn't as busy or may be able to help.
  2. A bit steep in my opinion. But nice looking speakers. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1112225250212231/?mibextid=dXMIcH
  3. I agree, I do enjoy some of the old school people that pop up every now and then. I really miss the days when we had a bunch of builders around. I really enjoyed Greg's refurbished gear and Gothover's builds.
  4. Careful kicking up old post, they my confuse you for a spammer and ban your @$$.
  5. I've got to say, at first I was concerned how those big speakers were going to fit in that room. You sir have done a wonderful job executing the task. I can't mount ceiling speakers in that manner as my ceiling is to low, but it does give some inspiration as to other possibilities other than in ceiling speakers. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed seeing this room come together.
  6. Heresy over the rc-64. Find a way to mount it in line height wise to the Cornwalls.
  7. Those are some solid headliners. Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan would awesome to see.
  8. What is it that is special about the Model 19? I had some 511 horns and didn't think they were all that great. Can't remember the driver, but I know it wasn't OEM and maybe that had something to do with it. I like the idea of the foam around the horn, maybe even deaden the horn. I am curious as to how well those woofers are, even those 811s and the appropriate driver. Definitely a speaker to try as I am now intrigued.
  9. No response needed for me. Plus they just posed 23 hours ago, not everyone lives on a forum.
  10. I agree with the Cornwall L/C/R, I would actually look at the pro line surround speakers. They have some really nice surround speakers that might cost less than Heresys, and they are designed for surround, so they might fit a location better. But that doesn't mean Heresys won't work, they'd work great.
  11. Interesting, I've always wanted to get more involved as to which pressing are the better pressing, but it takes time that i dont have at the moment. Great video with real world experience. I for one can't understand with all of this technology these days, that why the quality of vinyl pressings aren't more superior that what they are. I am not a physical digital media guy, but do run a hi res digital download source in my systems. I think the good thing about download over physical is that you don't have inconsistencies between material. I enjoyed this with coffee this morning, Thanks for sharing.
  12. So there was some accuracy to my comment? Nice, now what exactly that is, we'll have to wait. How exciting!
  13. I heard the recent version was pretty darn good. I wonder what could be improved on? I can't tell from the photos, but that is some pretty dark grill cloth. Which makes me wonder if it's possible they go 2 way with the new active system they are using for the Heritage Jubilees. I doubt that be the case as that would completely change the speaker, but wishful thinking.
  14. Straight up now tell me Do you really want to love me forever oh, oh, oh Or am I caught in a hit-and-run?
  15. I've ran a Tubes4Hifi sp12 line stage into a Nelson Pass ACA with great results with both streaming Spotify and vinyl with the PH6 Phono pre amp. All powering a pair of Heresy 1s. I don't recall what either the output impedance or input impedance is, but if memory serves, it wasn't an issue when I was researching that particular concern. As someone has mentioned, if this was a integrated system, it would be what is referred to as a hybrid. I would love to hear a full tube separate system. I have enjoyed a Scott 222 with these Heresys that I thought sounded wonderful with both digital streaming and vinyl. Now that i have a better hi res digital setup, I am looking forward to getting my hands on another Scott.
  16. I've seen this before, maybe here. Very interesting and would love to achieve something this large. I like how he talks about restricting yourself. I don't have the cash flow, but I definitely have the ambition.
  17. Not a moderator, but a dude, I think you need one more post to activate private messages.
  18. Goes by dandoyen now.
  19. I too worried about his situation as we never heard from him after shipping off. That was until about 3 or 4 years back he surfaces to sell his gear. If memory serves, he met a gal and moved into a smaller house that didn't allow large speakers. But regardless, he was alive and well.
  20. I'm not sure how insurance works, but new a set of Klipschorns would set you back about $16,500.00, only to be purchased as a set. Those on the used market could fetch around $2000-$4000 depending on location. If I am not mistaken, KBFR would be B style, Fir raw? The E in the serial number identifies them as 1966. Not rosewood from the factory. But someone of the more knowledgably will chime in shortly.
  21. Storm started rolling through this morning, still not done, may not be done until tomorrow. Fortunately, the temps have been around 33/34, so not much accumulation. They at one point were predicting 10"s, guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.
  22. I made chili yesterdayas well, I couldn't believe how spicy it was with 1 chocolate Habanero.
  23. As Billybob has mentioned, mixing Heritage with Reference will mess with timbre, this may or may not be important to you. If not, you should be fine running the Fortes with the Marantz as I run Cornwall IVs with a Marantz SR5015 with no issues.
  24. Ah, the talk of snow. Though we had a white Christmas, it didn't stick around for long. Had a slight dusting last night, and they are calling for 3-5 inches over the next few days. I figured I'd get the snow blower out today in the event that forecast is accurate. However, once I get the snow blower out, I'd be surprised if we get 2-3 inches. Breakfast was a Belgian waffle and coffee (sorry, no pictures of the waffle). Sitting here enjoying coffee and listening to the lovely Ms. Fitzgerald. After this I guess I'll put away all the Christmas gifts then head to the shed for the snow blower.
