  1. What ESR meter are you using? I would like to get one, but I don't want to spend hundreds, considering it will only be used for the occasional audio project.
  2. That's one that I have and has been very accurate and really cheap. Not to be confused with the ones that take your temperature as they typically don't have the range you need.
  3. I believe, it's O.K., but @rockhound can chime in and clarify.
  4. That will help the next person, but not you. Really Carl, after a night in a luxury cabin, you're not scared.
  5. Looks like it's coming along great. I love that industrial look.
  6. You don't get a vote if you can't attend. LOL How are you Richard? Do you need a ride?
  7. Welcome to the family! Bob Crites (Crites speakers) @Deang ( I'm not sure what he's taking on at this point but I'm sure will chime in), ALK engineering would have a crossover solution as well, and I'm sure there are others that can suggest people for your crossovers. Re capping those particular crossovers should be straight forward if you have decent soldering skills, so you may just want to get caps and do it yourself. I would decide if you're doing any modifications, prior to refreshing the networks. If you start going down the rabbit hole of mods, you may need different networks or an active solution. Mark down the day you joined the forum on a calendar, and how much money you spend over the next couple years. LOL
  8. I'm going with the 28hz version, because it's just for music in my application. Nothing that I listen to benefits from going lower than that.
  9. In Ohio it seems that 2 days out is chancy and farther than that, you should have a dart board with different scenarios on it and just throw one. I had more accurate forecasts when I lived in coastal S.C. than here.
  10. Hard to calculate when it's still happening. Keep a tally going and tape it to my box of ashes when I'm done. Actually, have the ashes dumped into one of the ports on the POS KP115 boxes and throw it in the ocean. Finally found something those boxes might be good for. LMAO
  11. Been spreading a lot in the last month. LOL
  12. Kevin emailed me with the information I needed. Thanks! Love this forum, it's the gift that keeps on taking, money from my wallet.
  13. We will be waiting! I still haven't received my quote and may just give them a call. Patience isn't my thing. LOL
  14. Thanks! I didn't realize it was a ported horn until it came up in a conversation the other day. I did know that I liked what I heard and will be very curious about your impressions when you have that and the devastators.
  15. You go for it. Does anyone have a picture of what the 1802 looks like on the inside? I've heard it, but never seen a plan or inside view. Waiting on a shipping quote on some flat packs now. Is anyone driving to the east coast from California with a big truck, van or trailer? LOL
  16. I hope they get it. I have a pair of 2's I need to sell, so $3,000?
  17. I've been doing that and now I have to sell some items to replenish the wallet. LOL I'll bring mine to SWAG if you bring yours.
  18. We're coming to your house, guess we should have told you. Sorry.
  19. He's scared, but there will be plenty of bourbon for sure. @CECAA850 is a very bad/good influence regarding bourbon. I think I'm up to 8 or 9 flavors that I keep in stock at this point. LOL
  20. Got it. So has anyone run these against the fp HF200's is the new question for all. LOL
  21. I read through this again, but want to clarify a couple things if you would. Your comparison was based on the FP HF200's? Since getting the 18x10's with adaptors you've run the FP's on the new horn as well and prefer the new 1.4 driver over the FP's on the same horn? I'm asking because I have the FP's, various horns including the ZPX's and stack ESS's. Thanks!
  22. Way too many things, but a couple that come to mind: A bunch of SABA and Revox gear 69 SS Chevelle Loads of vinyl @dtel I have an 8080DB, I know that one still hurts. It's never leaving my possession.
  23. Well stated! Nobody should fear social rejection over the music they choose to listen to and like. I listen to a wide variety, not as wide as some, but pretty diverse. I get the occasional "you like that", but personally don't care, I like what I like. If the music makes you feel good, it is good.
