  1. They already are; they just don't realize they've been bitten............................................but they got a great deal on an x-box and only trampled 3 people in the process!
  2. I hope so, she's a great woman and I think that she has accepted who I am. Kinda like Popeye, "I am what I am and that's all that I am" The Jub's or pro stacks, will come in due time.
  3. Exactly - a marketing induced, retail - riot. Humorous on the surface, but it's way too similar to the chaos associated with food shortages experienced around the world. Anywhere that demand far exceeds supply, human behavior tends to become savage. Remember the 70's gas crisis? I'm not a dooms-dayer by any means, but that behavior could be common place should our supply of fundamental need items become compromised. Man, I sure hope not in my day! Running, trampling, psychotic, obsessed, possessed, walking dead. Makes the Zombies seem civil!
  4. OMG, they are stunning and brilliant and shiny! I've waited so long to have the $$$ to get these and I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have them. Ok, maybe I don't have them yet, but it cost the same and I believe that I've made an investment in the future to be able to have them. Denise has waited a long time for this (6.5 years) and I know that she is as thrilled as I will be when I get those Jub's. On the bright side, lol, this insures that I will be in Hope for the 2016 pilgrimage and I will not be on a budget. Have a great evening, and sorry for the bait and switch. I found a woman that has accepted (not understands) my audio addiction. Life is good!
  5. Moronic! Why in the world would you do this, even if you could possibly save $500 on a darn T.V. ? If $500 is the difference between you paying your bills or buying an item, you're an idiot for being in that mess in the first place. I purchase things when I need them or want them and getting a fair deal, which can vary greatly on how large the "need" is. If $50, $100, $500, or even $1,000 is worth your dignity, safety and sanity, have at it, but lets call stupid, what it is.
  6. Straight and to the point! it's like audio manufacturers coming out with speakers that tout a frequency range that only dogs can hear and people running to the store to buy them and then claiming that they can hear it.
  7. The big ten championship should be a great game and I can't imagine Michigan State not getting in if they win that game. My lions got embarrassed in that game, but I've come to expect that after the last couple of years.
  8. I hate it for you and hope you get this resolved quickly and don't lose your data. Once you get through this and to everyone out there that doesn't have a complete back up in place, please do a little research and get one in place. I personally use Acronis and Vice Versa and it has saved my *** on more than one occasion, including a couple weeks ago. If you are not savoy enough to get something solid in place, there are people out there that can help you. My I.T. guy is 300+ miles away from me and handles all of my business and personal computers and never has to come on site. Good Luck
  9. Pete, have you ever heard of anyone turning the RSW-15 into a sealed unit? The thought crossed my mind to remove the passive and make a solid blank, wood cover to create a sealed sub. I like my bass super tight and this would be an easy experiment which is 100% reversible. Thoughts? I haven't heard of anyone doing that and based on my limited technical knowledge and box calculations that I've done for sealed subs, I don't think that would turn out well. I would have someone run the active driver parameters to calculate out what size box that would require to get good results and I believe that you're going to find that you need a box that is substantially larger. I have a couple of programs on my computer at home and if I have the information on the driver, I will plug it in, but I'm not sure I have those numbers. I would continue to do the sub crawl until you find the best placement, but if that still isn't to your liking, it could be that the RSW just doesn't fit your needs. I love my 15's, but there are plenty of people that don't and to each their own.
  10. Thanks for the link. I have plans for all the Tuba subs as well as others so my question about a kit like this or any of the builds is about how it's going to fit in with his mains. Do you have experience with this sub and if so, what was it matched with?
  11. I'm in N.E. Ohio and he lives in Allentown, Pa. but we see each other on a regular basis so if I found him something over here, that's not a problem.
  12. The room will end up around 14x20 and he doesn't have a problem seeking out a used sub either. I'm sure there's some wiggle room at $500, but he doesn't want to take a step to $800.
  13. A good friend of mine has a pair of RF35's that I sold to him a few years back and loves them but is itching to add a sub for music and HT and I only have experience with the RSW 15's, and the SPUD that I built and I'm not sure what direction to point him in. I don't think that either of the two that I have are going to be a good choice to go with his mains, so I'm reaching out for some advise. He really doesn't want to spend more than $500 and if that's a build, that would include the amp. He's a builder too, so doing a DIY isn't a problem. This doesn't have to be the lowest, loudest or the "best" at anything, just a solid return on a $500 outlay that will work will with the 35's. Any thoughts?
  14. Also depends on if you're going 2 way or 3 way. On this site, would the 3 way be considered a "Mirage a trois"
  15. I've never owned the R-115, but have a lot of experience with the RSW's, so what are you experiencing? If it gets too Picky, you could sell it to me and get rid of the problem. LOL
  16. Just my opinion, but I would go to the store that has the largest display of the units you are looking at, level the settings out on all the units and pick the one that you think looks the best and is within your budget and then check around for the best price on that unit. Your opinion is the only one that counts regarding this purchase and "best picture, best value" is subjective.
  17. I agree...They are great surrounds. I have them mounted at the ceiling, which is kind of the problem. They are too big to put them on stands and with atmos, Im not going to get the separation needed to get the effect. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk have you figured out what you want for them? I'm pretty close to you and have a friend in Allentown, that could be interested.
  18. First, I would suggest keeping them and mounting them up higher where they won't get into your space. If you are going to sell them, I purchased my other pair for $300 and they work for my space, so there you have it, but I would make them work, as they are really great surrounds.

Stay safe Roger and have a great time. Hmmmmm Super Secret Huh???? Care to share???? I do about a cup of course sea salt, a cup of brown sugar, some bay leaves, thyme, sage, ground pepper corns, apple cider and whatever fruit is in the fridge for about 24 hrs. then pack the cavity and skin with a rub consisting of whatever I'm in the mood for, including garlic, cyan, black pepper, chili powder and the rest depends on the mood.
  20. There's nothing wrong with the stock sound of the RF3's so I would suggest enjoying what you have and maybe diving into the mod world down the road.
  21. I purchase every set of RB5's that are $200 and under, so somebody jump on these.

Got the turkey soaking in the super secret brine solution to deep fry on Thursday morning, I hope all of you have a great day!
  23. I figured I'd warn ahead of time. The venue is a very nice place to see concerts though, I've been there several times with the kids to see the B-52's and a few others. It's small enough to be intimate, but big enough to not be crushed. And he puts on a phenomenal show. His original drummer was awesome, don't know who he has now, and the horn section and back up singers give it such a nice blast from the past. His old bass player was awesome also as he used to stand up on it and play. Don't know if they are back with him though. You will not be disappointed with any of the players or the backup singers. I'm not sure if the bass player is who you remember, but he was awesome and did play while standing on it.
  24. On the third cup of DD original blend and catching up on the games I couldn't watch yesterday. Have a great one.
