  1. This is a little two bay synology that I upgraded with 6TB disks last year. I also replaced the stock fan with a noctua brand fan. Can be 6TB in RAID 1 (about 5.5TB usable) or 12TB in RAID 0 (about 11TB usable). I've upgraded the OS to the newest synology. $300 shipped and paypal'd in the conUS.
  2. $200/license. And that's using the little pyramid mic? Factor in the $$$ for the pro-installer Audyssey mic kit.
  3. I was happy to keep it living, but literally NO ONE signed up.
  4. The forum is full of a bunch of cranky m'fers these days. (free bump)
  5. I'm still very pleased with my SPUD clones, and they way they slide in behind my TV/mains on the front stage is just the icing on the cake. I have them EQ'd as the bottom end in an active 3-way stereo setup and everything just blends really well. I'd rather no sub at all than go back a direct radiator.
  6. Chop the tops. Brace the bass bins. Go active 2-way plus horn subs.
  7. Well maybe not. I went back and looked - I joined April 2009. So maybe it was that year or 2010. It was before we moved, which was December 2011.
  8. It's worth the drive just to spend an afternoon with Carl. I live east of you in Princeton and met Carl back in 2008 to buy some RF-5's from him. He's been a great friend ever since and his gear is always in great shape.
  9. and what do you think? legitimacy to the claims/build/expense, or total bullshit and incremental gains at best?
  10. You've got audyssey (or similar) modes all disabled, right?
  11. IT CAN'T SOUND GOOD IF IT'S NOT INVENTED BY KLIPSCH CORP.
  12. Mark is a straight shooter and takes care of his stuff. Buy with confidence.
  13. Heard from Schu. The ban is over, but he's taking a self imposed break. The LS II's have been sold already.
  14. I think he got banned/suspended for a period of time due to some posts Travis didn't like. I'll reach out to him via Facebook and see if it's still in effect.
  15. The Klipsch resto guys are local to me and I've met them when selling some cornwall parts in the past. Their shop is legit and they seemed nice enough. I'll often see their speakers here on the DFW craigslist and I find their taste questionable at times. They oversell the "upgraded components" sourced from Crites to justify the premium they usually ask. I don't think they're nefarious in nature, but I have to imagine they saw what Volti audio does and figured they could capture a piece of that market by simply applying their carpentry skills to rehab and flip some speakers. You're paying a premium for those speakers, and all of it goes to some fresh black paint and veneer - just keep that in mind.
  16. He's a lawyer, not an accountant - they have larger margins of error (the former, not the latter).
