A friend of mine let myself borrow a fresh Loki out of the box for a week. The unit works as advertised. When the pots are set flat and then switch to "defeat", I couldn't hear the difference. It's transparent...

Which Scott/Eico Vintage Tube Tuners are worth owning?

It's an HF20. A integrated mono push-pull 6L6 amplifier. -

Yes, I still have the amplifier. Sounds good. The white and black Magnavox console amplifiers were sold...needed the money. I still have the output transformers from a parted out integrated Heathkit single-ended 6BQ5/EL84 amplifier. I had planned on building another SEP 6BQ5 eventually. Trying to finish the half finished projects first...

It is a 12" coaxial. It's not a Jensen driver, however. It's a CDK (AMK) brand ceiling speaker with a tight cone and high Fs. It's what I have on hand that works best in these cabinets. Here's a pair of Jensen BLH cabinets that are the proper height/dimension for 15" woofers.
-
They are 6" too short to use a 15" woofer. The cabinets originally used 15" woofers, and I had tried Crites replacement K33 woofers. The dimensions are more in line with the Jensen BLH for a 12" driver. A 15" woofer would give nasty peaks at around 250-300Hz. Using a 12" driver doesn't have near the peaking issues as a 15" woofer.

You may be able to find RSO oil. Rick Smith Oil... You can use it to add in for baking, cooking, or whatever. It's black, and comes in a syringe marked in CC's. It'll be spendy for a syringe, but it will last for quite some time.... You'll have to experiment with dosage. 1-2 CC's for a dozen cookies or some such. Start low, and go from there. Just don't put 3 CC's on your finger and lick it off...you'll be severe nappy time in about 20 minutes.
