@Div where do you have the level controls on the back of the 1206 set? And what do you mean the speakers are clipping? Do you mean the current overload LEDs on the front of the 1206 are illuminating?

If you go external amp route you will have to have a way to do the LP filtering. And ideally a HP filter as well. Phase inversion is easy just swap the wires. You'll need volume control as well.

Specs, schmecs...no current Klipsch offering sub sounds as good as a properly functioning RSW-15. And no I'm not talking about Chief's new Heritage subs, they are not available as of yet.

In my case I could do without for the repair time required...if you can't live without for a bit then yes it might not work for you. Perhaps it is time for a second sub? That could fill in while RSW-15 is getting fixed?

Edwards Electronics on Ebay...send them the guts..they'll fix it. I checked with them a few months back(anticipating mine will need someday) because I no longer saw them soliciting business for this type of sub. They said yes they will still work on them. You could go the external amp route as well. I can email you the service manual if you want. I have to believe it is the power supply.

U need a subwoofer....horn loaded would be best for hornloaded La Scala...just MHO.

Clean the pots and switches is ALWAYS the starting point.

I can only add.....subwooferage,YES. Once you get it dialed in and used to it you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

So UG Jubes and a new Big Boy sub...would I be there yet?
