YES. I'm with you @rplace I'm confused. If you took out all the woofer filter components then hooked the output of the amp directly to both woofer and input to the AA or Super AA then the woofer is getting a full range signal and the impedance your amp is seeing is who knows what.
If switch is "Make- Before- Break" wouldn't that work? For an instant(in the order of milliseconds) your two 8 ohm speakers would present a 4 ohm load to the amp. I am not a tube amp guru but a momentary lower impedance load would be preferable to a open load?
Yea the first one that @CECAA850 linked to is the one I think Bob Crites says is a POS. He went to a manufacturer in Poland(?) to get drivers made for his CT125. The second may be the old APT50 that is OK. But female threads??
I second this. You MIGHT save a few bucks on the big ticket items but once you get every little terminal and misc. piece and spend the time searching for them, it's a wash.
