  1. Hello, Anyone have a unit they don't use that they would part with? babadono
  2. Gotta love them speaker stands tho....
  3. You should be okay running 2 sets of 8 ohm nominal impedance speakers in parallel on your 4 ohm capable output.
  4. 'specially after that bout of 'vid...take it easy my friend.
  5. They're still saying rain here Monday,Tuesday next week...not coming your way @grasshopper ?
  6. Yes sir, I could never afford to build the house I built 12 years ago now. No way.
  7. @bobdog did you fab those DTS10s back when they sold kits?...I've got Sub envy...shame on me. I've got 1 DIY TH Spud and 2 Danley TH215s...one thing I do know they're really good at IDing room nodes.
  8. John's a goin' mining Great finds John.
  9. How much of the 10 ya got? Duh PM the man, man. I had some to LF cabinets but it clouded up and got ugly, now only use it in utility room for the first 20' or so where it cannot be seen. Splice down to the 12ga in room. It does not seem to cloud up.
  10. Yep cables and capacitors bring out the best in all of us
  11. John , I'm curious are both cables the same length? How long of time between swapping? And were levels matched between the 2 evaluations? You guys are really making me want to try some star quad just to see if I CAN hear a difference. I use SQ for microphone cables and some IC if thats's what is laying around. But for speaker cables? Never really thought about it.
  12. I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me than a prefrontal lobotomy.
  13. I paid probably around $2.25 a meter for what I use. And I chose it for how it looks once I realized what I built into the walls was not sufficient. My opinion is save your money on cables and put it where it counts...on your speakers. https://www.knukonceptz.com/home-theater/speaker-wire/karma-ss-speaker-kable/sp/karma-ss-12-gauge-speaker-wire-100-feet/
  14. Don't know about tweeters but I have experienced other electronic devices read continuity with a meter but then when you put current through them (or try to) it is NOGO.
  15. I think he has La Scalas...... All my speaker cables in the 2 channel room are over 8 meters. Amp rack is remotely located in utility room. The longer the speaker cable the greater in size it needs to be to keep resistance loss as low as the shorter cable. Will there be a small loss in the higher frequencies because of more capacitance and inductance? Probably. Can you hear it? Only your ears will tell you that. Turn up the treble control or EQ on the high freqs. Star Quad cable for speaker cable is overkill IMHO.

Like a decade or so......KC's got a dynasty brewin' a la the Patriots with Brady.
  17. It took TWO per side for sufficient low frequency response IIRC. If the LF cabinet being used goes higher one might be able to get just 1 per side to suffice. I mean Heil does so why not.
  18. GLWYS...again...can't believe someone hasn't stolen away with these at this price. To a prospective buyer....remember you could change these to a 2 way active UG Jubilee without too much trouble.
  19. I can't buy 1 LaScala? Another manufacturer screwing themselves out of a sale. Really?
  20. $6599 a piece, really not so strange. There maybe people still who buy one as a center between to KHorns.
  21. then we all walk to the game......who's got the tickets again?
  22. just the BASIC cutoff freq of an LC lowpass filter..I think the keyboard here will make it not exactly how I would write it on a piece of paper Fc = 1/2 x Pi x SqRt of L x C.
  23. only out here in California are people crazy enough to think we can all have EVs
