  1. "Running Scared"......His best movie...IMHO...It's a surprisingly good film.
  2. Duder it's funny you should be the one to post because I think your the closest.........It's the guy selling that RC-52II....and I'm getting a funny feeling .....Just because he just joined to sell his system that he says he bought, then put in another room after his TV took a crap, then never bothered to hook it back up. And the only other member to buy anything from him literally has one post, that read "I will buy that you have a PM"......I dunno???
  3. Hey everyone I'm in the middle of making an online deal with a new member who is cross country and is asking for full payment on a speaker after I said I would send him half now half on delivery, and I'm hesitant now to send any money till I have the speaker.....Not sure how to proceed...... The only other person who he has sold anything to has only 1 post. So no talking to them either...????......So my question is how do you go about making an online deal with a brand new member who has joined only to sell his system and has no previous history????
  4. I'm interested!!! Christmas gift for parents......
  5. Wow, this little girl rules........Thanks for posting....Never heard of her before....I like how she pulled that one beautiful melody out of a dream, then got out of bed in the middle of the night and wrote it down.........Who did that when they were 8?.........When I was 8 it would have taken a tank battalion rolling through our front yard to get me out of bed.
  6. Greetings on this fine night chaps.......Drinking some new Dogfish Head "American Beauty". It's a beer brewed with ingredients suggested by The Grateful Dead and their fans. I have been trying a bunch of Dogfish Head beers due to watching a documentary called BREWMASTERS on NetFlix.....Very good show about the brewery. I also got some MEAD......Sky River!!!.....Cheers
  7. Son of a @$!#%..........These are an hour and a half away...I saw this post about 3 days ago totally forgot about it........Should have put a reminder in my computer........[].......There was even a pair of KG 5.5's that were 20 minutes away for 150$, I just had to talk myself out of that one........But I didn't think for a second these Forte's would go for under 300$
  8. Ever see her book "Sex"? You might rethink that. Did you notice that she got divorced, put out the book sex, then got pregmant right after. Later she turned into a British person. A haha thats funny.............. That book SEX was released when I was 14.........And Who didn't want to see a book called SEX at 14...[Y]...I thought Madonna was HOT.
  9. That is a spectacular looking room of audio gloriousness...........Beautiful job on the speakers!!!!..........[H]
  10. My sister had that poster on her wall for years.......Ooh the memories of being yelled at and smacked, punched and kicked by my sister.......Good luck with your sale!!!
  11. I never thought I'd miss the old lanky long haired annoying princess of Hanna Montana but seeing the new wannabe ghetto.....I'm a cool slluty rocker now Miley Cryus. I mean at least in the days of Madonna she had some class and the music was catchy, and her videos were watchable. I mean at least without wanting to smash your TV or kill somebody........And I never thought I'd miss the old Justin Bieber as well.....I definitely never thought I'd hear myself say I miss the old Justin Bieber.........Hey their young and well........Stupid....And workin' hard at it.
  12. I would say no on the three front speakers for music.......Your receiver will not distribute music evenly to all three speakers if you are using a center channel for music. It will send more content to the center channel and the other speakers will suffer for it, even if your center is better than your left and right fronts. I had a Forte 2 as my center and KG 4.2 for fronts for about a week and a half. The Forte is a better speaker than the 4.2's and when I played music it kind of gave me an imbalance of sorts because the Forte has a much better midrange for vocals and instruments, but when I would shut it off and let just the 4.2 fronts play it sounded more detailed and gave me a more balanced sound for the 4.2's. It sounded like the Forte was sucking life from the other speakers. I either wanted just the Forte playing or just the 4.2's..............Now I know that my situation was a bigger imbalance of how much better my center was to my fronts, as you were saying you wanted a 42II or 52II as a better center channel than your other 2 speakers. I think you will end up with an imbalanced sound for music if you do that, it won't be an even sound coming from all the speakers. You will have more vocals coming from the center and lose some upper mid-randge punch from the other two because the receiver is sending it to the center... .....I would suggest you get a nice sub to compliment your front speakers......A sub will allow your receiver to give a much more linear supply of power to your fronts because when your speakers play their full range(BIG) the amp depletes it's power supplies by giving guts to the lower frequencies. It's the hardest thing your amp works for giving a lot of life to the lower frequencies ..... When your fronts are set to BIG it means they are playing at their full range from 20khz down to 50hz or however low they can reach...... When they are set to small.......usually only set to small when a sub is used because that setting tells your receiver to only send 80hz and above frequencies to your speakers........but you usually can choose from 50hz all the way up to 250hz in your receiver menu and also adjust your sub with it's onboard crossover to match. Everybody usually chooses 80hz and up for the fronts and everything below that goes to the sub..........And just because a sub is big don't think it is going to overpower your F-10's........GET A BIG SUB....at least 12"....Smaller subs have to work much harder to play something a bigger sub can do with ease even at low music volumes....And you bet your a$$ you can hear it........You dial it down and match the crossover and you can get a 21inch sub to play with 4 inch fronts and sound amazing.....Just my 2 cents....Welcome to the forum...Cheers....
  13. 53 hours of swimming........Holy $%#@.....[O]
  14. Yeesss.....Pioneer!!!....Nice choice Sir, Nice choice....[Y]......I went from a Pioneer VSX-1020-ah-k to an Elite VSX-32 and the first time I plugged it in and played it, it almost blew my speakers.....They were cheap JBL and Bose at the time. I really didn't even turn it up that much but they went it to popping mode on one of my first test songs. I dove for the volume knob, and just started laughing at the new power.......[8-|].........I also got that old Pioneer 1020(open box) at BestBuy and paid extra for their warranty. About 4 months later, the Visual processors died on me. When I went there to check on the amp they said it would cost more than I paid to fix it.........They had an (open box)/used VSX-32 when I got my money back sooooo...... I upgraded.
  15. I've never come across anybody who is as meticulous about vinyl remastering and reproduction, which obviously needs some serious $$$ to get to this level. Not leaving out the knowledge of the correct old and up to spec machines needed to get the job done..........I'm going to make flyers for this guy and drop them over Manhattan......This is definitely an art that needs to be fought whole heartedly to get more people aware to keep from sinking into "Davy Jones Locker" and lost forever.......[8]
  16. 4 18's that'll do it there Scrappy.......Go big or go bigger!!!.......Looking forward to your reviews....Nice work!!!!
  17. ..........A mummified mermaid......see Bart they're real.
  18. Grills off always.....[H]......I guess because the way it looks, I don't know anymore......It's just the way I 've always done it........If the grills stay on when I'm listening it feels like i'm missing something going on underneath. ..............It's kind of like watching a magician perform a trick with a handkerchief over his hands.......I wanna see under there................Or a girl in a skirt....Ya'know what I mean....[Y]
  19. My sub does sound great. I just thought that was a little to low on the volume. Thanks for the reassurance of the correct settings, I'm still tweaking. I don't think this will ever end. My AVR is a VSX-32 small potatoes to yours, but they just have a MILLION different ways to set them up. Thats actually probably a low number considering there is 24 different settings for each band of the nine band EQ for each speaker. And then all the different room correction filter slopes possible. Then you have the THX this and Dolby surround that, PCM and the thirty other variables of the variables after you setup your EQ. Then you can choose Panorama, DCR, Height, Dialog options, DNR,S.RTRV, Delay, S-Curves etc........ It's really wayyyyy to much.........I just want a Pre with codec deciphering an amp or two....... or three.. and an EQ. I would be fine with just the EQ section of the AVR's and the room correction and delay settings but everything else is just clutter to me.......I mean their are sooooooooo many options it drives me NUTS.....
  20. Well after days and days of tuning......I found out I was running my sub on about 250% of what was actually required. My main EQ trim levels now after the MCACC re-run for all speakers varies from +2 to 0. I previously had them running: Fronts at 0, sides at +10 and rears at +12 with full +12db channel levels. The MCACC has set my Front channel level to -9 but I still have my surrounds quite high at +1.5 for sides and rears at +4.. Just my preference for a lot of surround activity I guess......My sub integration is the biggest difference so far with a much smoother and more impactful response. I was running with volume at around 75% about 2 O'Clock with around +4 to +12 channel levels. When I was running the calibration it kept telling me to turn my sub volume down again and again....Now the knob is at 10 O'Clock not even half throttle which is still buggin me, but thats the only way The MCACC would allow me to continue the testing.....That was max volume it would allow for calibration, which I'm still questioning.......But it sounds good, and the new EQ settings have given me a better starting point for tweaking. I didn't realize it before but i was running everything below 1000hz too low in my EQ which was totally flat before.....and it was giving me a kind of thin sound....Now it's a lot more meaty in the mid-lower regions and a much smoother thundering bottom end........THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS..........[}]......Here's a visual Thank U.
