  1. I do not see where it says it is a 7....could it not be one of the less expensive Klipsch towers? Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  2. Our 65" 4k tv sucks power big time. I checked my rack the other day, and with 3 power amps, preamp, MiniPC, Dune player, and NAS... power consumption was 198w. TV is way more. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  3. Personally I like the focal point behind me just a bit as it is more enveloping, and I think it also makes the soundstage deeper. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  4. You can mount them up on the walls to give you a 30 degree angle, and then tilt them downward to the MLP... I am going to be doing the same with my RP150Ms. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  5. I can remember certain things from the 70s, but not many. And I am going to be eligible for SS next year. I am finding I remember less and less from years ago, and def less from an hour ago. Lol Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  6. My old setup... 3 JBL 2360As with EV DH1A drivers, 3 QPIES, 2 Danley DTS 10s, 4 JBL 8340s, 4 JBL 8320S, stack of Yamaha p2500s amps, Yamaha p7000s, Yamaha CXA 5100, Xilica xp3060, Panasonic ae8000 projector with Panamorph anamorphic lens, and a SEYMOURAV 195" diagonal 2.4 screen. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  7. I remember those, but there is no way I can remember the brand, model, and price. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  8. I believe he is referring to a true differential balanced circuit where it is balanced from input to output. This means more parts are required throughout the preamp as you must have 2 of everything in the circuit, which of course increases cost so some Manufacturers do not do it this way. As to whether or not it makes a sonic difference...no idea. Hopefully I explained this all correctly. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  9. I will report back on the monolith. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. I think eventually I will go to Roon...just need to get another INUC to run it on. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  11. I will most likely be selling my Yamaha CXA5100 sometime early next year as I plan on moving to the Monolith AVP with Auro3d, and Dirac. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  12. This is going to be I interesting when I get mine hooked up... I do not have gain controls on my B&O AMP modules. I forgot that when I ran my old Xilica I had a stack of Yamaha Pro amps. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  13. I keep going back to JRiver, and purchasing the newer versions, and then in a month or two I stop using it because of crashes. I think my last version was a year or two ago. I really wanted it to work for me, but it doesn't on Windows 7. I am assuming yours works fine...what OS are you using? Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  14. I am going to see how the new Monolith preamp is. If it is as good as I think it will be, I am going to sell my Yamaha cxa5100, and get one. The new Monolith AVP is built by ATI. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  15. Price lowered to $700, or trade... offers? Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  16. Update: 4 more Klipsch RP150PMs for height channels, monoprice 12 gauge 4 conductor speaker wire (250'), 2 more powercon connectors, and 2 more wall mounts to allow 6 height channels. Rack should be arriving any day now, and amplifier should be done soon. Pics will be posted as I get stuff completed. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  17. The ceiling is a concave, and I cannot go any higher than 18' on the walls, and overhead treatment at all at this time. I am putting in 18' high corner traps on tue front 2 corners, and I have heavy stage curtains covering the front wall, and about 7' of the front side walls. I just am not sure if it is worth it to put treatment 18' up or not. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  18. I am interested in how this turns out, as I am also thinking of making some of these. Question: My ceiling is 33' high, and curved. Would it be any benefit to treat the walls above 13'...or just below 13'?
  19. Thanks for the response. While I was waiting, I came across 4 RP150Ms for a good price in cherry, so I will be using them for Atmos.
  20. That is a great price... I wish I still had my pair, but it was too expensive to ship to Mexico at $2 a pound when we moved.
  21. No one knows the efficiency of these soeakers?
  22. I am looking for some wall mounted speakers to use for Atmos, and Auro3d. I am currently running the RP160M speakers for my fronts, but will be using them for surrounds when I get my k402MEHs made. I looked at the specs for the 500sa, but is doesn't have the sensitivity specs. My walls are about 18'tall before the Boveda ceiling starts which peaks at 32' high. I am planning on running my height channels, and about 13' high. I am planning on running them on the front wall, and the rear wall which will put the front heights about 21' away from the MLP. I am concerned with my Atmos speakers having enough umph . I will be powering 4 of them with a pair of Yamaha P2500s amps which are rated at 250wpc. Does anyone know what the sensitivity is on the 500s?
  23. I love the Yamaha Pro P2500s, and P7000s amps...run cool, plenty of power, and you can pick them up used for about $200 (p2500s). During the time I had mine I never had the fan come on! I sold my whole stack when I moved, and so just bought 2 more again for my Atmos channels.
