  1. Try this bracket. https://www.adaptivetechnologiesgroup.com/product/adjustable-width-u-bracket-mounts/
  2. Oh no. Dr Bruce Edgar was a mentor of mine. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Rest In Peace Dr Bruce......
  3. Let’s make sure that we get our semantics straight. That recording need nothing. It was recorded to let the music be imprinted like you were there so there are very well recorded tracks. And don’t need anything. Some tracks are recorded in high resolution but the track was recorded poorly; highly compressed for example. and like I said in the video “God bless good recording engineers”....
  4. Absolutely. That’s the first line of defense.
  5. Sounds like the Bose wave radio is the answer.
  6. Actually no. Bad recordings abound. And I have done very similar things to try to make bad recordings have some life typically because I like the track. And as my speakers have more and more resolution (I think the op called it transparency), the more obvious the flaws in the recording sound. So yes you can fix most recordings where at least they sound good on high res speakers. So you have a bad recording, a high resolution speaker, pile on bad rooms and you have a mess. Please don’t worry how I spend my time. I’m good.
  7. I think my decision is pretty obvious.
  8. I did have quite the task of comparing most of the state of the art compression drivers. As the gentleman in the video eluded to, you have to know what you want. I didn’t choose the axi2050 blindly. All the measurements that I did led me to one thing......it measures very well. Now how does it sound......
  9. Probably need to move to separate thread but I will say a couple of things. In later years, which is when I came along not really nothing anything about what Mr K said or wrote, Mr K did consider that even order harmonic distortion were the ones that were the most annoying. These tended to be related to mostly physical irregularities while odd order were the ones that most people considered “pleasing”. Mark Dodd is quite a good resource and I always look out for his contributions to the acoustic art.
  10. @RandyH000 @wuzzzer thanks guys. The reality is that What I’m trying to do with Mr K’s heritage is everything he wanted to do....but he just ran out of time.
  11. If that’s you get out of this then as usual, you don’t know what you are talking about.
  12. Or.....or......or......getting ready to push the button. 🤓
  13. What’s the difference Claude? Did you make your woofer for your sub?
