Is it a high quality glass--is some glass made better than others? Shatter resistant? Also you have to contend with vibrations from the speakers. it might cost a few bucks to get the right glass--cut just right.

Well--we have most stuff that we need and want. We're all pretty happy with what we have and feel blessed to have it. When I buy Christmas Gifts--it will be for others that probably won't be affected by "Black Friday". Nothing major--Food--Shelter--Health and being together makes us better people. We have our decorations--more than we need---so we've decided to go lite this year and save for a down payment on a house. Our own place would be the best present we could get. Hope you find a peaceful choice.

Unplug everything and let it reset. then make sure all connections are made before powering up. Might work--Might Not.

I guess the only thing you can watch is Blu-Rays in 4 K. On my cable TV--the highest resolution is 1080i--and some stations are 750. The Non HD are 480.

Would you buy the first 4 K players or wait for a price drop and a Tech improvment?

How fast do you expect a BR disc to load? I see people talking about load times--I have a Sony and it seems to load OK.

You can try to line up voice coils for time but I was listening to Andrew Jones talk about this issue and he said you cannot time align this way because of---The Crossover. He's a speaker designer--I'm not--He knows more than me.

Are they in good condition? Why destroy a good pair of speakers? Or is it just a money thing?

Considering what's out there right now--if I was gonna spend some serious coin I'd be looking at NAD AVR's.

My old antiquated H-K without any fancy Equalizers or such sounds fine on my Klipsch. I plug them in--turn it on--and have a good time.
