  4. Began using a Denon receiver, then upgraded to AdCom two channel amplifier and for past four years enjoying the Emotiva XPA-5 fivr channel amplifier. All were satisfying at the time. However, the XPA-5 has given a freshness & richness to our listening pleasure. Having owed our Forte II's, for 25+ years. Each time I consider that it might be time to upgrade. After listening to various speakers, at the end of each exercise, I return home realising my Forte II's continue to deliver on what I seek from my speakers. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  5. BTW, forgot to compliment you on the gorgeous new stands for your Heresys. Very nice. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  6. I have also benefited by Moray James wealth of knowledge, especially in regards to upgrading my Forte's. As well as referring me to Skylan Mfg for stands for my Heresy. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  7. Great deal, now enjoy! I' recall unboxing my Forte II from the day I purchase new. Enjoy today as much, if not more than when first unboxed. Over the years Forte's only required an occasional fresh oil rub. Be sure to plan some time to listen to your music, as you have never experience before. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  8. Great article especially for those of us that weren't able to attend the festivities. Thank you for sharing with us all. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  9. Did you build these or purchase? Can you share any specifications? More information shared, greater the chance of someone purchasing. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

  11. My experience with my Forte II's, gain great benefits with simply repositioning your speakers. Always amazed by how much improvement is gained by adjusting the distance from wall (better Bass), plus the toe in of speakers. Above suggestions, along with prior suggestions from fellow forum members should resolve your issues. Good luck, please share how you make out. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for sharing. Food looks delicious, folks look pleased. Band lookd interesting, unfortunately my galaxy S6 isn't giving it any justice. Stay safe & have fun. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

  14. Depending on your needs, if you'll be doing Two Channel listening either of their models. Introductory amplifer, for 2-channel (Stereo) offer: Basx A-300; 150 watt per channel. Their reference amplifier, 2 channel (Stereo): XPA-2 at 300 watt per channel. The third generation is available, most recent review called it a "Beast of an AMP". Personally, I have a 5.1 system (5 Klipsch Speakers & 1 Subwoofer). Currently upgraded to the Emotiva XPA-5 Amplifier generation 3; absolutely love it and high reccomend. While listening to music, hear incredible clarity & depth. During guitar playing, hear clearly finger brushing the strings. Classical music hear various instruments within a song very lifelike & clear. Note, I just upgraded my XPA, had same amplifier from the first generation. Absolutely no issues with, stumble across opportunity to purchase a 5 month new Amp of same model. With newer design, and was able to trade up. I prefer separates as my experience has shown I get greater results & quality. I also graduated from just two channel traditional listening to also including movies that require more speakers for action. Emotiva I have found offers quality products without the middleman, you purchase directly from them. Get better quality and more bang for the buck. Good luck, Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  15. A company receiving quite a bit of positive press and reviews, both from professional/independent reviewers; Emotiva. Many forum members have had positive experiences with their selection of products and very competitive pricing. Great reviews on Audio/Video Processers, powerfull amplifiers in many different forms. Recently they announced that they market in addition to the USA & Canada, an additional 125 Countries. Web site: WWW.EMOTIVA.COM They are setup for transactions in over 100 countries and they accept credit cards, handle conversion, and shipping. I personally have had great experiences doing business with the past four plus years. Good luck, feel free to ask any questions. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  16. I was just sharing my experience, so others may avoid the same sales con. I knew better, sales person was aggressive and dropped the price, betting I would purchase additional cables. My sanity return prior to them attempting to get me place a larger order. As I said earlier, they looked good, no benefit to sound. Bad deal. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  17. Using for first & only time, quality wires with spades. Usually use 14 Guage, copper wire that I made into speaker cable with plugs on ends. Moment of weakness bought these cables, noticed no difference over my home made cables. In addition, surprised with the price difference, yes appearance is very nice, no difference in sound. 18. Adam; To answer your question: Yes, still hearing terrific sound (Using tape to keep wire from disengaging). Posts are similar to majority of other Klipsch speakers that I have seen. I will attempt to post photo tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  19. I recently noted that my Forte II's, speaker post no longer tightens completely, resulting in speaker wire to fall off the post. Which then causes the speaker from projecting any sound out to the listener. Note, no sound is then projected out to its listeners from the speaker. Note, crossovers & tweeters were previously replaced. I double check and all wires are still properly connected. Welcome suggestions on what the best remedy is. Assume options available either retighten (previously done, no improvement), or replace, any suggestions who to call or where to purchase, (I called Klipsch, unfortunately they don't offer any support for these speakers). Thank you in advance for replying with any suggestions. All the best, Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  20. My experience, with the amount of time, breaking in my Forte II's upgrade of new Titanium Tweeters & Mids. Wasn't very long. I noticed the improvement immediately & they seemed to continue to improve. I can't demonstrate the improvement as I did not use any tools to measure the performance. My improvement is based on mine & my wife's listening experience. We both felt that the sound became even more lifelike and warmer. Both of us can't truly say when the sound reached its full potential. As the experience was very gradual, and best described as reaching the point of warmth, that it was. Hope our experience is helpful. Do reccomend that you play your favorites daily for a week or two. Serves two purposes, you get to enjoy your collection, plus note change. Lastly will utilize your system, so it can break itself in. Enjoy yourself, Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  21. Bottom line, upgraded our Forte II's crossovers with Bob Crities solution. The benefits exceed all expectations. Found that the install was a piece of cake, due to the step by step instructions provided by Bob. At the same time I upgraded the tweeters with Titaniums. Plus upgraded the Mid's with Titanium as well (at the time, Bob directed me to purchase, from Klipsch Parts department). A sincere thank you to Moray James, (met via Klipsch Forum). I benefited from his knowledge and help. He was avaiable via Forum, text or Phone. Always with help & advice. He was a tremendous benefit to me.
  22. at the time teens, who thought listening to their music through Apple products was the preferred option. They heard the difference quickly and began using our system whenever they could. At the time , it helped my wife and I maintain communication with our girls.
  23. My results from upgrading my Forte II's, 4/5 years ago. We're incredible, everyone in my family noticed the difference quickly. I include my daughters who were
  24. I have the Heresy III, they have in the room realness, clear, concise and very life like. Can hear backup instruments, plus fingers strumming the guitar. Compliments my Forte II's. Note, my Forte's had been upgraded with Bob Crities crossovers and Titanium Tweeters & Mids. What you describe is not normal. Anyone nearby that can assist you? Where are you located?
  25. Not sure what your comparing prices to. As you don't say which LaScala you have. I believe much depends on how the speakers are marketed. Example, condition of speakers, complete set of pictures and where your advertising them. Especially when you compare to "New" prices. My own experience, I bought a pair of Klipsch's, pampered by keeping clean as well as oiling the wood finish. Paid in 1990 $1,000; today I have had offers in the $1,000 range for 27 year old speakers. Note, have seen folks offer for sale speakers covered with dust in pictures. Comment by seller, gorgeous speakers, need to be cleaned and polished, sound awesome. Asking Max price. Buyers assume an issue, and will offer less $, as they believe that they are not pristine. Even though just dusty. Hope I help you, which was my intention. Best of luck. Jeff
