  1. I have some old Kyocera gear from the late 1980's, mainly a receiver / amp and a tape deck. I threw the CD player away years ago and wish I hadn't. I need to get the receiver recapped and see how it sounds. It sounded fine back in the day.
  2. I hold him in high regard as well. Plus, he's genuinely a nice guy.
  3. I bet he can eat 50 eggs.
  4. Yes. Some players do this. Look for a feature called "normalize volume". Alternatively, you can use a utility that will look at all of the tracks and normalize their volume so that they are the same no matter what player.
  5. Still available, $265 each plus shipping, 40 lbs. each. Emotiva rack ears to match, $20 for a set plus shipping.
  6. And the cap crimper in the back. Not many people know that secret.

    Cheresy. Beautiful.
  8. You might want to post this in Garage Sale. Good luck with your sale and I'm sorry it didn't work out.
  9. I have mine on about an 11 foot wall and they sound great. I'm certain they could sound better, but I have no other choices right now.
  10. Yes, there is. Get a 16 ohm L-pad and put it between the squawker driver and the squawker terminals on the crossover.
  11. An L-pad would allow you to attenuate the signal while not changing the impedance seen by the amplifier. Yes, they could certainly help you with the squawker level if introduced at that point in the circuit. Did you change the tap on the transformer yet? That would allow you to adjust it somewhat with the hardware you already have. Maybe someone that knows more than I do will chime in here....
  12. I got three and they arrived in perfect condition. It did take a while, but worth the deal.
  13. I would choose the one that sounds the best. I get tinny sound on the 8 ohm tap on my amp with Khorns. Tha 4 ohm tap sounds great. YMMV
  14. 1965 would be a "C" in the serial number. What do you show?
  15. Using your phone and 3.5mm headphone to RCA means that you're limited by the quality of the amplifier in the phone. I suspect that the noise floor of that phone amp isn't good either. You probably cannot run your phone at max. That's a powered output and you'll easily overdrive the input of your amplifier. You might consider Roon + Tidal.
  16. Ok, I can arrange that, and it seems I owe you a fuseholder too.
