  1. Your PN format is very similar to the one in the linked post that Klipsch commented on. Your SN and Work Order numbers are higher. I would vote for 1992.
  2. Not completely helpful, but a similar request and a response.
  3. Wow those look great. Congratulations!

    Jokes?

We had a black & white TV until the mid 70’s. My oldest brother is ten years older so when he was about 17 he brought home pizza from a pizzeria, so I was 7 and had never had it before. I thought it was the best food ever. That was in about 1973.
  5. Mark, this looks great. A mega plus is giving those kids a chance to hear REAL speakers. Please keep the photos coming!
  6. For those who don't want to click, KB-WO, $2900 for the pair.
  7. So $4000 for whichever pair you want. [emoji3][emoji106]
  8. I have a Leesa that I like. They have a generous return policy.
  9. If their de-jitter stuff works, then no. Since this is audio, though, some will disagree with me, and that’s ok.
  10. Considering that you’re spending roughly 1/3 of your day on it, you should choose from those you can actually try.
  11. Well, I have a few thoughts. I've worked with countless circuits and applications over 30 years that deal with digital transport, and I can for sure tell you that jitter in delivery of any digital data is a real thing. Some applications are not sensitive to it and some are. My DAC has built-in reclocking and I've never really messed with disabling it. I suppose I should do that to see if I can hear a difference. That presupposes that the input stream has a ratty clock to begin with and correction is even necessary. It would be nice if manufacturers would include an input edge to output edge difference indicator of some sort. Without it, you can't really know how much if any correction was done. Assuming, of course, that you can't immediately hear any difference in the audio realm that would make it obvious. Jitter applied to the delivery of audio samples to some DACs would represent a variable time delay in the sample, causing added noise in the analog domain. I say some because some DACs have built-in reclocking. To summarize: I don't think reclocking can hurt anything, and it can help. This is a good reference: https://www.by-rutgers.nl/PDFiles/Audio Jitter.pdf
  12. Wow, get well and get out of there!
  13. Well, let’s not rule out that I might be an idiot.
  14. The problem in my experience (with a Kreg) is that you end up sawing into the track itself once you go beyond a certain angle.
  15. So did we decide these were bogus?
  16. Dying over here.... did you get to see them?
  17. No, I don’t know who that is, But I’ve wondered the same thing Please let us know how they look and how they sound, and be careful.
  18. Someone here pointed out to me that there's a near duplicate listing posted that says the original listing is a scam. @jackrcoxdid you have any luck talking to anyone or seeing these for yourself?

  20. I had hand-me-down everything growing up, from clothes to bicycles. With 4 siblings, a "homemaker" Mom, and only my Dad working, that was the norm. I never needed anything and had a great childhood, but I wanted lots of things. We had a Western Auto store (remember those?) in my home town and their bicycle display had about 3 bikes. The same three bikes for YEARS. Whenever my Dad and I went there, I would eye up one of those bikes. I wanted it badly. One day my Dad and I went there and I went right over to the bike. He came walking over and said, "You think you could ride that all the way home?" "Huh?" "Do you think you could ride that bike all the way home?" "Yes." "Well, get on it and go." "What?" "Get on the bike and ride it home. I'll be along in a bit." I searched his eyes to see if he was serious and he was. I was grinning from ear to ear as I walked that bike out of that store. Didn't even stop at the register. The lady behind it smiled back at me. I got on it and rode it home. We lived on a really low traffic road, and I passed a tractor on the way, but no other vehicles for the 1.5 mile distance. I looked behind me and there was Dad in his truck, keeping pace. That day was the best. I rode the heck out of that bicycle for years.
