  1. Warning ! A recommendation from our (France) Minister of Health = It is recommended not to take a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as ibuprofen, as it could mask the symptoms of Covid19. Cortisone and ibuprofen could worsen the disease and the patients who took ibuprofen arrived at the hospital in worse condition than others, especially young people under 50/60 years of age. In case of fever you can take paracetamol. https://www.rtbf.be/info/monde/detail_l-ibuprofene-et-la-cortisone-pourraient-ils-aggraver-l-infection-par-covid-19?id=10457684
  2. Here are the researchers I mentioned before (I hope you can read these articles at home) https://www.leprogres.fr/sante/2020/03/12/coronavirus-l-etude-clinique-sur-les-traitements-sera-pilotee-a-lyon https://www.francetvinfo.fr/sante/maladie/coronavirus/coronavirus-la-france-aux-portes-des-essais-cliniques_3863353.html https://www.inserm.fr/gouvernance-organisation/institut-i3m
  3. Hi, With us (France) the measures are tightening, like everywhere in Europe, closings this evening at midnight (in approximately 1 hour because it is approximately 11:00 PM here) of all the restaurants, bars, cinemas, theaters, non-food shops or only remain open what is necessary (petrol, pharmacy, food, ...). Public or family gatherings are prohibited, travel is prohibited except for work or emergency, ... There are also 2 members of the government (1 minister and 1 secretary of state) positive for Covid19. On the positive side, researchers have found a composition of several drugs that could treat Covid19, the test phase on 800 patients has been asked to the authorities. (there is also other research in progress in other European countries and in the US). Take care of yourself in the US
  4. Hi @jjptkd Bravo for your new K510 🤩 Have you received your HF103s from Faital Pro, if so do you like them? 😜
  5. hi, here in France, crèches for small children, schools, colleges, high schools and universities close until further notice, Monday no one will go there. People over 70 should stay at home and others should limit their travel as much as possible. Sports, football, rudby, handball, basketball, cars, motorcyclists ... stop competitions and professional, but also amateur, training. The hospitals launched the white plan, an organizational plan to free beds and staff to care for the patients of Covid 19. The political opponents are with our president and his government: it is "sacred union" as in wartime, the whole country is fighting the virus. In the other countries of the European Union it's a bit the same thing, a lot of travel restrictions in countries and abroad (closure or border control), no gathering of people, no team sports and amusement parks and schools are closed. The Italians set an example because their country was affected by the virus 8 days before the others: the Italians are organized and follow the instructions well. I heard on the news that with you it's a bit the same thing, many things are closing and the organization is ramping up to fight the spread of the virus: good luck.
  6. Not everything is good here, but the positive side is that we have researchers in Lyon, and throughout the country, who are working on this virus and are trying to find drugs to treat this disease, they are progressing. They have already succeeded in isolating the virus at the end of January (Institut Pasteur in Paris). I think that you, too, in the US, have great scientists who are looking for a solution.
  7. Felicitations for the nice CWIV ME 👍 And great Jubilee behind and right on pics 🤩
  8. Me here in France I have one of your American cars (like Klipsch speakers), with a little black horse on the grille 😍 I also have a small German sports car 😜
  9. They are beautiful CWIII 😍 NB: It's good to think of Karen Joy Is that this lady?
  10. In addition to the previous advice. You can do a simple test, you need 2 small wires and an AA or AAA battery just 1.5V, for me no need to take 9V because too powerful: 1- disconnect a CWIII speaker, remove the straps, 2 - put a small wire on the + of the Bass LF terminal block, then put a small wire on the - Bass LF terminal blocks, 3- connect the wire - to - of the battery, then put in contact for 1 or 2 seconds the wire + on the + of the battery = the K33E woofer must move forward. Do the same test on the other CWIII: If the 2 K33E woofers move forward = your K33E are correctly connected internally, everything is fine and your bass problem is elsewhere. If one of the two backs up or if it does not move: then there is probably a problem, you must dismantle the offending K33E and replace the terminals correctly. See Videos
  11. It's simpler, just try putting 82 or 68 ohms on the 20ohms resistor and listen if you like the sound more. If it's too complicated leave it like that and listen to good music without asking too many questions
  12. Hi, If you like the sound so don't touch anything, however if you want a flatter curve you can test what I'm going to tell you below. If you still have the original Chorus II filter, there should be a 20ohm resistor. I will try about 15ohms or 12ohms instead of the original 20ohms, to see if you can go up the curve between 700Hz and 6kHz You can put: 82 or 68 or 56 or 47ohms, ... in parallel with the 20ohms You can also put 1 or more 1µF capacitors in parallel to the 6µF capacitor to make 7, 8, 9, 10 ... µF gradually lower the connection and fill the hole in the curve between 700 and 1500Hz ! Make measurements at each value to find the right resistance / capacitor compromise. Good listening
  13. Hi, Passive bi-amplification is a good thing, but it also activates it especially today with DSP. The simplest thing for passive bi-amp is to have a volume button on the amplifiers, like on McIntosh amplifiers for example, Pro amps like Crown, QSC, Electro Voice, Lab Gruppen, .... work wonderfully in the bass, your Akitita should be good too. The advantage is that if you already have an SS amplifier in your cabinet and with your 300B the passive bi-amp will cost you $ 0. Test and make your own opinion 😉
  14. Hi, I use CWIII with passive bi-amplification thanks to the internal filter of CWIII. I put a solid state McIntosh MC2125 in the bass and the equalizer button on the McIntosh C504 preamp at 1:00 am for the 30Hz. Then I have a tube amp in the middle and treble. It's very good like that, I tried the tube amp on the whole spectrum of bass until the treble: the bass is less good and less punchy : For Jazz and Rock Take this test keeping your 300B 9W at the top and a solid state for the K33E bass 😀
  15. Salut @ MechEngVic Bravo for your DIY, I really like your measurements, I too would like to have measurement equipment like you to test my speakers 🤔 Me too I love my Faital Pro, mine works better at the bottom, but does not have such a beautiful treble, it is more suitable for a three-way with a DE120 at the top. Your HF111 is splendid, I imagine that the sound must be crystal clear. You can try to flatten the end of your curve, but not too much, by mounting a CR before R10 and trying several test values gradually. For example C between 1 and 0.5µF and R between 2 and 5ohms to start, Attention it will be necessary to slightly modify R1, normally if you put 3ohms on RC, R1 will have to make 12ohms instead of 15ohms currently. If 5ohms on RC then 10ohms for R1, test several combinations, until you get something flat and you like listening
  16. Unison makes beautiful speakers, especially the Max 1 and Max 2 with Italian 18Sound speakers https://www.hifitest.de/test/lautsprecher_stereo/unison-research_max-2_14353
  17. Hi, Well done for the editing @Gorm Nice new horn, well done for integration on the front @dtr20 Right now I'm working on an upgrade of my CWIII and I was inspired by @jjptkd work on K601 / K55G, I'm going to do it on K701 with Faital HF103 instead of 55G : the difference is that I don't need the bolt adapter . But as for products from the US becoming very expensive because of transport and customs, I do the same with products readily available in Europe: B&C, Faital, ...
  18. Thank you for this complete test and pleasant to read: bravo! 👍
  19. Look at the garage sale, there are nice amplifiers for you... 😉
  20. And to supplement your information, there are whole pages on Community Klipsch devoted to the tube amps, good reading https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/forum/109-talkin-tubes/ ✌️
  21. Hi, in new tubes amplifier you can try like Klipsch either CARY Audio or Toolshed Amps https://www.toolshedamps.com/ Then Leben, Line Magnetic, Manley Stringray, Inspire of Dennis Had... amplifiers have a good reputation with Klipsch Heritage, but there are also others ... You can contact Cory Harison of Metropolis for expert advice and choose the best amp with your budget. https://paducahhometheater.com/
