  1. 6 months since I've eaten anything of that ilk. but pretty soon, I'll be back with a vengeance. That was the whole goal behind the fasting diet etc etc etc. Heavy workout's and fasting but the 1 meal will be spectacular, of course if I am still losing weight I'd have to change that up, no sense losing weight after getting to the minimum weight zone. My doctor feels 135 will leave me with nothing but the barest minimum. I'll put it on as muscle from there, I already know I can gain that nicely. BTW, kettle cooked BBQ potato is my fave, and I make one hella killer triple baked variety that I have had my son say - no no no no dad, that is too crisp. LOL, no such thang kiddo, you grow up, you'd know. It will stand up to hot chili and not turn soft - even the last one. You'd have to steam it again to soften it. Cool. Srinath.
  2. I have speaker lab bose 901 knock off's in ply wood. I am putting actual 901 drivers in them cos I found some real 901's whose cabs had massive water damage. Speaker lab made awesome stuff. Rather, they sold stuff to people who could have made awesome stuff. Cool. Srinath.
  3. Brilliant Jason and hsosdrummer - Thanks, straight up facing me box and more JBL crap fitted on top of it and I'll forget the Belle type cabinet. not tha tI had the skills to do it anyway, would have bugged my friend for years to do it. Cool. Srinath.
  4. He said he didn't want, so thought I'd poke my nose in. I'd be interested in them, I can contact him and if he wont ship, could I take you up on this. thanks. Srinath.
  5. I have a few 18" lying about, most notably a pair of B&C and a pair of JBL 2241's. I am thinking I'll rig up 18"s in a belle type cabinet. Or a cornwall style one. I've heard LaScala's have higher efficiency but lack a bit of bass. Does the bell solve that or is the cornwall still better for bass. I don't care about efficiency, I like a good sound stage and good bass. I suspect a straight up facing you set of drivers will deliver better sound stage. But there are even downfiring woofers that manage to give you that, so I am not sure. Cool. Srinath.
  6. Mine ? or that one for sale in the OP ? Cool. Srinath.
  7. Mine are 8624573 top cabinet and 8624574 bass bin, and 8624575 top and 8624576 bass bin. Cool. Srinath.
  8. I have these 86 ones that look nearly identical. I have to get pics and put em up, and mine aint any better taken care of either. They are fine till some clueless moron has to move them, and not know they come apart. Like mine were before I got em. Cool. Srinath.
  9. A friend of mine - whose wife is on the same fasting routine that I am on just pointed this out to me. https://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/medicine/laureates/2016/press.html Effectively, its a gene that is switched back on via fasting that kills off the old and the dying cells. Basically fasting is not only the least disruptive way to really achieve weight loss, its also the right way, the overall healthier way and completely natural way. Come for the weight loss, stay for the prevention of cancer, alzheimers and parkinsons. I started fasting and seriously in 2 days my body adjusted so correctly to it - its like dropping into your favorite chair and turning on your favorite song played through your favorite equipment. 100 lb weight loss not withstanding, I started pumping iron ~a week ago, worked out in fasted state through the day and gained 20 lb all the while dropping from ~7% BF to under 5%. I rapidly gained strength as well. But of course, I got to my new house this weekend where I don't have the equipment to do, and too busy moving now. So back to fasting till I get the last handfuls of grabbable fat out. Then hopefully I'll get the equipment ready in this house and get back to pumping iron. Fasted state of course, that means 1 meal a day. AKA fasting forever baby. Cool. Srinath.
  10. Oh that lower one I think I have a set of those. With Eminence Kappa 15"s in it. I started to peel it cos I didn't want the tolex sprayed thing in my house. Thought I'd make it a sanded and stained thing. Then I had to move, and you know the rest. OK now it all makes sense. M stands for magnificient and machine. Cool. Srinath.
  11. I like Kiss me by 6 pence none the richer if I am listening with my wife. If I am flying solo - Into the night - the Nickelback version. If I am with my son - or even flying solo - and I have the records and a player setup - Tchaikovsky's 1812 with real cannon fire - Minneapolis orchestra, Antal Dorati conductor, Deems taylor commentary - great on LP, even better on reel. I have several of both record and reel. I consider these like tires on my car, use and when wore out, replace. My friend has one - called the sugar man song - which is so lousy a recording, if some equipment makes it sound good, that is a inaccurate piece of equipment that's made to improve everything, and not revealing. I dunno what the details are, but he always mentions it. This think made the sugar man song sound good. So its a lousy piece of equipment. Cool. Srinath.
  12. Guys I am so sorry, I now get that MCM = Huge speakers. but MSSM ??? WSSW ??? Sorry more questions than answers in my head.. What does M stand for in MCM ??? mid range ? I guess W = woofer ? S = ??? squawker ??? C ??? Center ? Sorry about all these questions. Cool. Srinath.
  13. I still don't get it. Besides you forgot to add to the quote. I know from your sig you have an MCM stack - but I google it and all the links are to mcm electronics. Is that what it is ? Cool. Srinath.
  14. McM ?? what is that ? I've heard of MTM - and yes they're awesome, in fact I like to do MTW's when I can, but McM = new to me. Cool. Srinath.

    What I Got Today!

Oh yea they're relatively easily available. In fact I have scotch bonnets sitting 10 ft away with seeds I could just plant. I meant I wanted to eat that scotch bonnet my friend had pickled for a month when I typed that, and I asked him and he'd finished it. He gave me some killer wild chives, and they will be in my dinner tonight along with the curly dock lemony sorrel I'll be cutting out of my neighbors yard in an hour or 2. Cool. Srinath.

    What I Got Today!

I want to get reapers. I have had ghost too, and the habanero I bought @ publix isn't cutting it. I chomped it down like it was going out of style. My favorite for the flavor is scotch bonnets. Flavor, not heat, they are so fruity and sweet its semi hilarious that they are even classified as "hot". Ghost are no joke, hot as hell. I'd definitely respect those, but, the thing tastes very artificial to me. Maybe because I am a fan of the pepper its based upon - Naga jolokia. Nice eastern Himalayan pepper. Cool. Srinath.
  17. I better make sure the 616 is working via HDMI then. Cool. Srinath.

    Visceral fat

The visceral fat does not have a unit but that scale runs from 0-19 I think. I have heard 10-20 gm of visceral fat can cause a lot of problems. Maybe its a straight up measure ? Has anyone got an idea of how it would translate ? Thanks. Srinath.
  19. May god be with you, your mom and all your family. Cool. Srinath.

    Visceral fat

I had blood tests on Jan 13 and got the numbers back. Fasting insulin of 0.8. My doctor actually had to verify if that didn't break some type of theoretical barrier. He then came back and said, he never sees them that low, but its extremely good. I also got a DSM-BIA weight scales. That guy has been showing 3 or 4 for visceral fat, and under 9 is considered normal, lower the better. Its in the same zone as my teenage son. Its also saying my body age is as 29-33 at various weigh in's. I turned 48 ~2 weeks ago. I am going to start on some weight training and even some aerobic activity, but life and the move being what it is, I doubt anything will happen for 6 months cos I gotta build the 1/2 of the house that's well ... not there. Cool. Srinath.
  21. Thanks for the offer Coytee - I am moving to SC from NC, I might have to spend the next 6 months moving and building, but I might take you up on the excellente offer. My wife probably going to have a cow over the thing though. Cool. Srinath.
  22. Oh, its a LaScala components In a cornwall style cabinet, or a cornwall with a larger cabinet and a different horn and a crossover of Bob crites specs. OK since I have neither a CW nor a LS I guess I am going to shelve this away till one of those to hit the side of my head sometime. Cool. Srinath.
  23. Would any of these help an ALK one in an 86 Khorn ? If so, What should I get. Cornscala ??? I will google it, but is that a Cornwall with a lascala Crossover ??? cos it wont make sense otherwise, and the drivers are the same aren't they ? Thanks. Srinath.
  24. My wife who's pretty much an audio phobe - back when I had pretty low powered but very good sounding stuff, once blurted out when listening to one of those Garrard TT's mounted on top of the amp deals - "records sound damn good" and I must admit, it did sound very very good. Cool. Srinath.
