LMAO! And his response is that he is the Chief Bonehead, I have a new respect for the Chief! đź‘Ť

Read the fine print, he is not just a bonehead but the 'Chief' bonehead. Not good enough, how about: Mr. Chief Bonehead? Sir Chief Bonehead? Chief Bonehead P.E.? The Supreme Chief Bonehead?

I just got my CD copy this weekend, $12 on Amazon. Still need to listen to it.

I hate black speakers, but these are really nice: https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649876498-klipsch-cornwall-speakers-ebony-amp-ivory-veneer/

Why should I have a separate 2 channel amp?
tigerwoodKhorns replied to gigantic's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
That is impressive. Did they test the AVR 5800 or 5803? -
If you have the very basic skills, a light sanding with 220 paper (like 5 strokes), wipe with a dry cloth then follow with tac cloth and apply three coats of semi gloss or high gloss oil based polyurethane and they will look like new. I have a beautiful pair of Chorus that were refinished in matte, I just did this over the weekend and they were taken to the next level. Nice a smooth and shinny.

Velcro Cable Ties for Power Tool Power Cords
tigerwoodKhorns replied to tigerwoodKhorns's topic in Lounge
I bought some heavy 3/4" velcro tape. I will just leave it in the tool bag or case. It will likely get dirty or sawdust on it if it hangs on the cord. I keep my tools looking new and this stuff looks like a dirt magnet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B8TJNX5?psc=1 -
I have been searching and cannot find these. I need some velcro type cable wraps that I can use for power tools. I am looking for something heavy enough not to be ruined and with a way to fasten it om one end of the cable so it hangs there when I am using the tools. Anyone find something? Is this a bad ides and should I just use some velcro tape and leave it in the tool's case when I am using the tool?

Beautiful work. Laying it out that neatly takes some time to get it perfect.

I got so much work done I finished early, felt better and had more energy. Seriously, I did start work a little earlier. I thought that the forum was over and done. I figured someone high up heard grumblings and said pull the plug. I have seen decisions like this many times.

[Crossover Repairs and Restorations]
tigerwoodKhorns replied to David Chkheidze's topic in Technical/Restorations
I'll keep my day job. As long as it takes me to build these I don't think that the word profit can ever come into play. It is Klipsch's forum, they make the rules, we are guests here. I am on 20 years. -
[Crossover Repairs and Restorations]
tigerwoodKhorns replied to David Chkheidze's topic in Technical/Restorations
Is this true? I didn't know this. So crossover modifiers, but we can still post our personal mods, right? I just got the last caps for some really pretty x-overs that I am building. -
I think everyone here has a room or two, some a warehouse, full of gear bought before the prices went up. I paid $300 for my La Scalas, the guy couldn't sell them so I finally called and got them after a month or so. Didn't want or need them but said oh well, I might use them in the future.

'Should you tune your sound system FLAT'?
tigerwoodKhorns replied to Schu's topic in Technical/Restorations
No. Tried it with an eq years ago and it was horrible. Use an X curve if I recall. -
WHat is the RC5 code? If I recall, the universal remotes list say Denon and have five numbers and you try each until one works.
-
Here, Phillips SRP9232D/27, looks like it is back ordered. You need the code to program it. Contact Mark for that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B4P1DK9?psc=1

Really? I guess everything is going through the roof. For $3K I'd expect a mint pair with a beautiful veneer, grills and nice crossovers.
-
I struggled with a crappy Denon remote from around 2004 and finally bought a $5 Panasonic universal. Controls the power and mute and I am happy. Nice and fast and doesn/t drain batteries every month. Long way of saying that a universal should do it if you can get the codes from Mark.

Over priced (I think) but they sure are nice, La Scalsa are a little rough, especially at this price. https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ele/d/scottsdale-mcintosh-c22-mc240-mr71/7532556898.html

I did pick up a 20 WPC Class A Luxman recently just for these reasons. -
