  1. Even if you put the 150 W " into" the RF7 you then could only read , because you would be deaf !
  2. Never thought about it like that, [:$]
  3. Happy Birthday Travis, you made it another year, must be busy lately, haven't heard much from you lately. Have a good day, although after meeting you i would guess you make almost any day is a good day. [^][Y]
  4. Glad to hear about the 23 pounds, I need to loose some for sure. About the sleep, I never tried that although I probably should get checked, I sleep like a rock but snore loudly, Christy checked it once with a DB meter and it was around 75 DB ! [:|] Probably loud enough to cause me more hearing loss at 8 hours a night ! Give it a try it may help, I know you have had a problem sleeping for a long time now, that has got to wear you out over time. I like the Iron Mike thing, good attitude, especially when you have to deal with anything medical, just don't have heart failure when you see the bill !
  5. Not me, but I wished I lived next door, I would build something with really low freq to rattle her house with no audible sound just to watch what she does ! I do have a crazy neighbor, but not that crazy !
  6. Sure will Fini, we hope everything goes so well the only unusual part of the whole thing is you as their nurse. [] Take good care of them, and try not to let it get you down and cause you problems, they will need you when they come home. Keep us updated next week.
  7. This is not the first time this has happened. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080815/ap_on_fe_st/odd_diamond_found;_ylt=AlwYJLYgv1Act8m9n9uRekguQE4F
  8. That depends... [Y] Good answer !
  9. That's what I was wondering ? I have the same model, and yes they have a lot of bass but they are not lacking in the mids or high freq. something is not right. Try covering each driver individually and make sure each one is working. Have you tried another amp or another set of speakers on that one, maby a wire came loose in shipping ? Go back thru the menu on the cd player or whatever you have connected, or just try to connect a different way, there is no way they should sound like that.
  10. Picky, at 89 you have the right to say anything you want , you have earned it! Kind of hard to whine when your talking to someone 89 ! [:$] Congratulations on your loss, keep up the hard work !
  11. Considering you live on a big rock in the middle of the ocean.... YEA []
  12. Never thought about it that way, although much worse things go down there. [+o(]
  13. Nice Coytee, we only put about one gallon in the freezer. For some reason we never had a good year, also every time my son in law was here he and grandkids would go out and eat and pick, more eating than picking. They love blueberries, and thats what they are there for anyway. Coytee have you ever tried a huge pot in the sink filled 3/4 with berries, run water in it till it is overflowing and mix with you hands to get many of the leaves and stems to float. It is a quick way to get out many (not all) of the trash out.
  14. Nice looking site, easy to get around and you can see prices so you don't have to leave the site to get an idea on how much each model cost. You don't want those bird legs, no shape, but they are long !
  15. Here you go dtel Luddite Function: noun Etymology: perhaps from Ned Ludd, 18th century Leicestershire workman who destroyed a knitting frame Date: 1811 : one of a group of early 19th century English workmen destroying laborsaving machinery as a protest; broadly : one who is opposed to especially technological change — Luddite adjective mike tn I had looked it up just before I posted,[6] but I did have to look it up ! [A] Ok that does not describe me, actually looking at something not even out yet it's so new ! []
  16. Darn, now I will have to go look it up ! [A] No reason for any personal attacks from anyone really,..........my opinion is the correct one anyway ! " IMO " [] []
  17. " Also remember that most of us are a bunch of cheap ba$$tard$ " Oh that hurt, JM but very true ! [] I don't believe the Palladium was designed to compare to any previous Klipsch, it's a new market for these. Also could be said for the Jub's and all the other lines Klipsch makes, Like Michael C says " Choose your weapons" The best thing anyone could do is listen, and put your money where it sounds best to you, it's all a personal choice in the end anyway. Don't worry be happy [8][8][8]
  18. I have to say much quicker than expected, and it's accompanied by pains in places you didn't know you had.
  19. Somehow it just don't seem the same, although my wife disagrees with me ? []
  20. I would think he would be happy someone appreciates and uses them. I don't know about caps, do they also degrade over time without any use ?
  21. I was the same way with the HFO tour, I had never seen them and really only liked Joe Walsh enough to go to his concert. My sister gave Christy and myself Eagles tickets as a present, the show was one of the best concerts we have gone to. Should be a good time, who is opening the show ?
  22. I didn't post but when I seen someone else, and read it I thought the same way, " I am dumber for having seen that. :| "
  23. I'll be the official cheese cutter....would you like one slice or two? How come that don't surprise me ? [] My favorite is the MWM / 402, what would that be, the old retired out of production daddy ? well it does fit me. [sn]
  24. Back in 78 I had some JBL somethings, all bass no mid's or highs, sold them to my best friend who liked them. The strange part was I had found this book that had different formulas for speaker cabinet volumes and designs. I found the one I liked and also found this place in New Orleans who rebuilt and sold speakers for musicians. I gave them the specs for the drivers I wanted and they matched them with what they had. Bought a crossover and had my dad help build the cabinets from hardwood plywood. They sounded very good and I had them for many years until the midrange drivers gave out about 8 years ago. Then I used some Advents I found, they sounded nice but not like the horns. A couple of years after they gave out while looking for new speakers or new drivers I found Klipsch, I knew I liked the horn sound. After looking at all the models klipsch made there was one that stood out, the Cornwall. The speaker I made was almost the exact size (within an inch), and also had a horn high freq driver and horn mid range with a 15" bass ported just like a Cornwall.
