[:|] OK thats how I found Klipsch, but I found the horn sound when I was young at a huge movie theater in New Orleans who had at least a 6' tall and very wide Altec lansing "voice of the theater" on each side of the stage, and more behind the stage I guess ? The Altec's I heard back then got me looking at every speaker with horns, and most back then were commercial models, then I ran across klipsch while looking up info about some old Altec's (thanks again Al Gore).

When you get it all together, then you will have many more questions on where and how to set everything up, you don't just plug and play for best sound. Don't worry everyone here will answer any questions to get you great sound, just ask. Your in for a treat, if done correctly it will sound better than what you heard when you auditioned the speakers in the first place.

Thanks, that's your K43 speakers in the MWM's, they do very well for what I am using them for, a little extra bass for outdoors over a K33 I am told. [Y] I just love the MWM's, I really do.

" I'd recommend a light colored packing blanket over the tops of your MWMscalas " That's what I have been doing, but pointing them out to the back yard, if out there in the evening they are pointing toward the evening sun. I had even hung a very light piece of material down the front of the top 2 horns one evening to give them some shade while playing and couldn't hear much of a difference. White paint may have helped but they would just look silly. It was 96 today in the shade, I may just make something light to cover them with just to be safe when it's really hot, cheaper than hunting parts and waiting. Was thinking about selling my little (open) trailer and replacing it with a somewhat small cargo trailer that could be used to haul them around like to parties or the beach or anyplace, and just use a small battery to power the amp, like the desert pictures. Those pic's are what really got me thinking about this whole MWMscala thing, I love the sound of music outside, I don't know why ? Thanks

I had a couple of them years ago, nothing expensive like most of these, gave it all away when the newest media was claiming to be a replacement for all those big albums. Guess what it made a big circle, back to tubes and LP's, the price you pay for living long enough i guess ?

Commercial speaker which are used outside in the summer, what about heat buildup on the drivers. Down here it can be 98 degrees in the shade, put black boxes in the sun and there is no telling how hot they could get ? I would think the wood would help insulate some of the heat, but over a few hours it probably still gets very hot ?

Nothing, I had a 8080 years ago and gave it to a relative because a couple of the front light's went out, I wish I had it now ! At the time I was [bs] into thinking newer was better, like a dumbass ! [:'(] Coytee if all that was left was on earth were Marie Osmond music I would listen to sound effects recordings before her, or just quit listening, and I surely can't sing !

From the way she talks the only thing she worries about is being a burden on everyone. OK now I know which ones you are talking about ! They sounded GREAT, really I was surprised in Hope at the quality of the sound from just a few speakers. I didn't know that was the speakers you were talking about Michael, NICE setup. A nice cargo trailer should be on your wish list.
