  1. Has anyone tried to incorporate a relay as suggested by @pconwell and gotten it to work. It doesn't make sense to me - there is no 24V connection from the power supply to the speakers at the once it is complete. How are the speakers powered? Otherwise I have my Cinema 600 up and running again using the recommended power supply from Amazon. Thank you to all that figured this out.
  2. Hello, this is my first post here and I appreciate any constructive feedback. I have the WAF pretty much covered because I promised to sell my early 1984~ish 48" tall x 18" wide Infinity RSIII-B's as well as a PAP 15" Trio OB DIY project - and a few other mid 1980's reasonably sized speakers. Promise is to have speakers which can be closer to the wall, rather than the 3' out from the front wall. I went over sizes and find the Cornwall just a little too wide and they are probably too much for room size. Almost everything in my system is DIY, the exception being a Fisher SA-300 EL-34 from the year 1960 which is currently having parts ordered for a rebuild. At 35w it's nearly double in power from anything else I have. I would like to try an American made Heritage series speaker and can be talked out of it. Amps will continue to evolve, but have the option to buffer low power SET tube amps with DIY Pass F4 monoblocks. Listening area has an 8' ceiling, no room treatments other than a plethora of large dog beds and couches, floor is wood on concrete slab with 50% coverage area rug between speakers which will be on the wood floor. It's the living room of a 1450 square foot house. Listening position will be 15' from the front wall. Back wall is 25' behind the listening position, have high back chairs going over ear height. Speakers probably placed 9' apart on center and not have ideal placement, there is just no way to do it with the shape - and therefore horns come to mind. Shying away from the Heresy because I would need to build a really good sub, which would be quite expensive. Easily $1200 DIY for a 12" sub and amp. I'm not committed to new from factory, and probably can't afford it unless it is Heresy. What to look for in used, do we assume they have all been modded? I'm not sure of the story behind Chorus, but see some big fans here. Listening tastes vary, but there will always every now and then ya gotta get the Led out and let Hendrix do his thing. Joni and Ella need to sing. Those recordings that Miles did in a hurry to get out of his contract, they are the up there at the utmost of importance. Coltrane. Rush. Bartok. The Blues, including some that are only in mono. Thanks, and hope I didn't go too long. Did it because some people frequently say "need to know more".
  3. Unit is in great shape, has remote and original manual. Would prefer local pick up in the Charlotte / Matthews NC area. Mark performed one repair to correct a problem with fuses blowing too easily and the unit has been flawless ever since. $1200 OBO

  5. Hi @nicksri and welcome to the Klipsch Community forums. This thread has a lot of useful information. You can learn a lot about your Cinema 1200 if you read through the posts. The first thing you should do is insure your soundbar has the latest firmware. Klipsch has provided a series of knowledgebase article to address issues with the Cinema 1200. This one may help you: Cinema 1200 - No Audio via HDMI Troubleshooting Unplug your soundbar from the electrical outlet. Wait ~ 15 seconds. Plug your soundbar back into the electrical outlet.
  6. Hi, I live in Thailand and just bought a Cinema 1200. A few days after installation, the sound is not coming out from the soundbar. The sound comes out from the TV internal speaker. I checked and I have the latest firmware version of the 1200. I read in here that I needs to power cycle the soundbar. Could someone let me know what it is meant by power cycle the soundbar and how to do it? I intend to do this first before contacting Klipsch
  7. I think about $1000 to $1200.
  8. I've got a jubilee speaker just sitting under my living room table I've got the horn with 6 of the kpt 250 cinema speakers I got then from the roll of dumpster outside of the movie theater in my 2 bedroom house I can only hook 2 up and they are still too much in interested in selling them but what to ask for I see the jubilee is going for 35k really and each one of the kpt-250's are going for $1900 really I mean I can kinda see it if the 2 I got hooked up are plenty for a concert I mean I never heard of klipsch until I found these I got video of the two hooked up in trying to post
  9. Still in the air on what I’ll do for center channel. Going to demo locally and see if I can demo both ways. I’ll look into the pro line for surrounds and see what the options are. Going to think on those and the Atmos speakers for a bit. Goal is to buy the front 3 and update the others and electronics over time. Currently using a Marantz Cinema 60. Will definitely add a 3 channel amp. May update receiver at some point.
  10. Unfortunately I haven't heard the Heritage Jubilee yet, but even though I love my UJ very much I'm convinced that Roy has done a top job. I suspect that the HJ is designed for a medium to large living space. It wouldn't be ideal for a cinema because I don't think the low end of the bass reflex part carries over 50 meters. I suspect that this low bass part carries very well over up to 10 meters together with the horn part of the upper bass. But these are just my assumptions. Anyway it's a great design.
  11. With respect to Klipsch speakers in particular, it's not simply that a speaker is 2-way or 3-way. In my opinion what sets Heritage and the other 3-way Klipsch (like the 3-way Legend series and the Palladium series) apart from the 2-way Klipsch consumer lines is that more of the frequency range is covered by horn-loaded drivers. In the Klipsch consumer lines of speakers, most of the 2-way speakers hand off from horns to cones in the range of 1200 Hz to as high as 2500 Hz. In contrast, the consumer line 3-way speakers (that are not fully horn-loaded) transition from horns to cones in a range of like 500 Hz to 850 Hz. This means that the consumer 3-way and fully horn-loaded speakers will have less distortion and better coverage control in the critical lower and middle region of the mid-range frequencies where the bulk of the musical and vocal action is. To my ears the 3-way Klipsch consumer speakers and the fully-horn-loaded ones (whether 3-way or 2-way like the Jubilee) sound more effortless, cleaner, less veiled, and more accurate in the mid-range. I call it the Klipsch "mid-range magic". The difference in the bass response is mainly due to the RF-7 III having a much larger cabinet volume. The larger 3-way Klipsch speakers can go lower than the Heresy as well. The Forte IV might be closer to the "equivalent" of the RF-7 III in the Heritage line.
  12. OMG what drivers are those? As far as the whole cabinet resonating, no that's never (should never be at least) by design. It's called building to a price point and no body cares in a cinema setting unfortunately. If you have not yet, I think these could use some serious cabinet mods. How do you power yours? If you're in Texas I'd love to see those!
  13. Hello @suko_nanami, Welcome to the Klipsch Community forums. Klipsch does not repair the Cinema soundbars. If your soundbar is still within the warranty period, they will provide a warranty replacement. The replacement will be the whole system. If this is a new system that has recently been purchased, Klipsch recommends you return it to the place where you purchased it for a replacement (or a refund). If it is outside the warranty period then you will have to have it repaired. If the place where you purchased it doesn't do repairs you will have to find a repair shop, preferably an authorised Klipsch repair depot.
  14. Hi everyone, I have a Cinema 1200 and I have a problem with subwoofer. It is apparently paired, solid blue ligth and I get message of subwoofer paired on soundbar, but subwoofer does not sound... I have night mode on zero and sub level at +6, but not working... Firmware is up to date. I contacted klipsch support, but they answered to contact local dealer to ask for a repair. Anyone had this issue with subwoofer? Any idea how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

  16. Thank you Kevin. Makes sense what you are saying. Here in Spain te best price, special offer, is 1200€. I am no quite sure if it is so special, reading another prices someone mentioned in this site.

  18. When Klipsch decides to do a major upgrade to products like the BAR series and Cinema series soundbar they do it by introducing a new product. Prior to introducing a new product it is a common practice for manufacturers to discontinue an existing product and sometimes significantly reduce the price to clear out existing inventory. I have not seen any official notice from Klipsch stating that Cinema soundbar models are being discontinued but I do see a number of indications that lead me to believe that is indeed the case. There are only a few Cinema models still on the Klipsch website available for purchase. Some retailers have told customers that (some of) the Cinema series soundbars are being discontinued. The price of the Cinema soundbars has been reduced significantly. I have not heard of any announcements from Klipsch about new soundbars to replace the Cinema series but this article suggests they are coming. Klipsch and Onkyo joined forces for a soundbar — and it sounds awesome
  19. Hi Kevin, do you mean that Klipsch has discontinued the SoundBar 1200 product ?
  20. I built a little home theatre system a couple years ago. It's just a simple 5.1 using a lower priced Denon receiver. My main speakers are The 6" 2 way towers for which I paid roughly 300 bucks. Then I have a low cost Klipsch 5" center channel and 4" two way surround speakers. I kept my existing Monoprice 12" sub crossed over at around 70 hz. I probably have about 1200 bucks in the whole system and for what it is, it sounds great. The 610s are a great theatre speaker and hold their own for stand alone 2 channel stereo. My goal is to save some cask and get a pair of Forte IVs for my main speakers and upgrade my front channel amplification. I'll still have a decent system for movies but my music listening will take a huge leap up. Seems like Klipsch makes a great product at every price range. I'll never own anything else. I went to work in a hi-fi store when I was 17 in 1974. I'm now 67 and am looking to economically build my last stereo system.
  21. dont wait too long klipsch slashed the price for the 1200 and they're selling out like hotcakes , https://www.klipsch.com/products/cinema-1200-sound-bar-and-surround-system
  22. That was very much a serious amplifier and you are fortunate to have them. I just lost 2+ hours trying to find (what used to be easy to find 20 years ago) info on the thing. I still haven't found Ron's circuit, but perhaps someone who built one will see your post in time. What I remember is that Ron and Jack (Electra-print) worked together to hatch that thing based on Jack's 45 DRD circuit. Jack spent a bunch of time finding input tube operating points that were complementary in distortion to that of the output stage, and the magnetics are all custom, all first-rate and wont be wound again (Jack retired). If there is specific information you seek, it may be gone unless you are lucky enough to correspond with the right person who perhaps built a kit. I've never seen a gutshot except yours so I can't say from the pics (thanks for those, BTW) if that's Ron's work or not--perhaps other Welborne owners may comment. It looks minimal because it is minimal--and you may be sure it was quite well-engineered for the given set of goals. IMO, that's the zero-NFB SE config to do the least damage to signal on the way through an amp--but it needs a pro winder with fast test gear to keep all the parasitics well out of band (and as an old RF guy, audio was/is slow to Jack). Personally, I'd expect the listening report to be as yours sounds (thank you, also, for that)--clear and more sparkle, basically. I'd expect the harmonics out of that thing at 5-700mW or whatever you feed Lascalas to be very much different than many other low-watt SE amps. As zero NFB SE amps go, a direct-coupled amp _should_ be cleaner. My opinion only, but something like that is about as good as it gets for low-watt zero-NFB SE amps. Twenty-some years ago, kits were $1100 +/- 200 a pair, depending on options/wood/tubes/caps/blah blah...I remember because I didn't have the $1200 then Congrats. This was Jack's, but I _think_ (?) Ron's is supposed to have a 6N1P input tube.
  23. I've been inside all 3 of the amps and plain n simple the DBX is better built, has quality components, wired and soldered extremely well can play and sustain a 1ohm load easily at 1200 watts. I'm pretty sure the BGW and Peavey isn't capable of that ohm load, especially bridged. Yep just looked it up, only good to 2ohm in 2 channel and 4ohm in bridged.
  24. none of these amps rival The Yamaha A-S1200 since it is a proven HIFI amp for the Heresy IV ,with lots of forum members currently using the amp with fabulous results on the Heresy-Forte and Cornwall IV ,the Heresy IV requires a very low distortion amp , with higher damping factor and the highest quality components , the A-S 1200 is basically a vintage Japanese 70's amp with a superb preamp Made in 2024 with the latest parts available , it's on par with the Hegel amps worth 5k$ .
  25. Hi everybody, in these days i was thinking to buy a 1200 Soundbar. Looking for information, specs, reviews...I finally see this site and I am quite concerning about the issues I have read. I would buy my unit here, in Spain. I feel worried about all I have read. Thinking twice if it is a good idea. I love Klipsch, I have other products (The Three, The Sixes) and they are perfect. But all of these messages I saw about disconnections, restart needed,...uf. Are there good news ? Thank you !!!
