  1. Location 98312 Bremerton Wa. This listing if for the grills only, 125.00 plus shipping and fees. Below you will find other items as well. 1. Lascala bass bin braces from Volti Audio 2. Jbl 2426j compression drivers 3. K77 tweeters orig coils Having first upgraded (then sold) my Lascala, to move on to Belle, ive upgraded (altered) the Belle now and have for sale some items left from both projects. For sale here is a set of the top hat frames from Belle. Having gone with new ones, i simply dont need these any more. I WANT to keep them, but... anyway. They, and the grill are in orig and Ex+ condition. Felt compelled to offer them here first. Quite literally, these are in Ex cond, no snags or dingle balls, emblems are included. I also have JBL 2426j drivers (new JBL diaphrams) 16 ohm., as well as bass bin braces for the lascala (with lower grill covers to hide the braces) from Dave Harris (never installed) My ability to ship, is second to none.
  2. I found a pair of CF3s, version 1 on shopgoodwill.com. When I hooked them up I found that one of the tweeters crackles at any dB level. I pulled the horn out and detached the driver but couldn’t tell anything from looking at it. The diaphragm looked good and I couldn’t see any damage to the cone, though it is really hard to see anything. Any thoughts? Any way to fix or replace it? This is my first foray into Klipsch and high quality audio so your help is appreciated

  5. 1. In simple terms, how exactly does a tractrix differ from an exponential horn in its design? 2. Also, what might be expected if the exponential horn from an earlier Heritage series driver were switched out with an equivalent Traxtrix version? From a listener's point of view, are all frequencies equally affected? (I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has experienced this). 3. Anything else of interest?
  6. I am repairing a built in home stereo system that uses Frazier speakers in every room. Each speaker is a 12 x 12 x 16 cabinet with an 8" woofer and a 5 x 7 tweeter. The tweeters are the black bell type with alnico magnetics. The tweeters are blown in at least 2 of 12 tweeters, and there are at least a couple more. Knowing that there is a lot of common driver parts between Klipsch and Frazier, I am posting my questions here and in the Frazier sites. Checking the internet I cannot find any diaphragm replacement kits. Are there any available? Next option is I have found some 5 X 7 Frazier replacement tweeter assemblies at a decent price, but the magnetic arrangement is different. Instead of the tall small diameter alnico style magnet under a plastic cup, it has a short large diameter magnetic and no cup. The tweeters are marked on the back with: Frazier F-3x7 N4850-F 114850-F U.S.PAT. 3,898,393 Are these equivalent specs? And what are the differences? Thanks in advance
  7. Here for sale 2 midrange drivers with horns The drivers are Beyma CP750ND 2 inch The horns are 2 Eliptrac Horn 400 from Fastlane Usable frequency range is 400-18000 Khz and also 2 levitation base in birch plywood (As bonus I can apply veneer if we agree on type) It was used in 2-way system For Jubilee Klipshorn La scala upgrade projects New cost 1600 usd I'll sell it for 1200. If you need more pictures just let me know I sell it because i want to go with low mid sata horn otherwise it is extremely well sounding horn. I can accept reasonable offers too. Condition is mint. (i would say on drivers not more than 500-600 hours of gentile home use) The horns are made of MDF and covered with white primer so you can apply any color you like. For all details please write me at anton.dedikov@gmail.com
  8. first post here. let me start this off by saying that i recently went from running an old carver receiver and some nht bookshelves to completely upgrading my amp/pre amp to a pair of welbourbe lab mono block 300b amps and an EAR 834 L Deluxe amp. I found myself in a sudden need for much more efficient speakers. I paired the tube gear with some heresy 1's. I bought all this gear in a week on a road trip back home. i spent a few days staying with a friend where we had everything set up and it sounded amazing with the heresys on the floor in a small room. after finally getting them set up at home they don't sound nearly as good. I've tried a lot of different placements but just not the same. the room they are set up is also small. i tried on the floor and with risers. too make things even more complicated, I'm moving in 2-3 weeks into a loft style place with cement walls and a rather large room. will they hold up in an environment like that? should i consider cornwalls or something else?where they are currently set up i seemed to lose some low with a slightly more harsh high end. thanks guys!
  9. What was the best tweeter of the: -1950's? -1960's? Altec, JBL, University, Jensen, EV....in your experience, what was the absolute BEST tweeter in terms of clarity, accuracy, upper range extension, construction quality and reliability? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Best, Andy

    DIY sub

I am going to be building a Home Theater out of our 2 car garage soon, and I am thinking of building a new sub. This is what I am thinking of: 1. Build out the garage wall 5' deeper, and 17' wide with a 8' ceiling (garage door will become a screen wall with my 3 La Scalas and 2 Heresy HIPs behind a AT screen). 2: The garage and new room will be double wall constructed with 1 layer of OSB, 2-3 layers of sheet rock with Green Glue. The ceiling is currently 9' and will have about a 6" thick additional ceiling due to 3 layers of sheet rock and Green Glue. What I am thinking of doing is using the whole addition room for a IB type sub but make the exit point of the box into a horn. I would build boxes that would enclose the 5 front speakers and seal them into the front wall. The front wall would only have a hole in it for the sub/horn to exit the room, and the AT screen would conceal the whole affair. I currently have the PSA Triax sub and it is great. I figure when I move to the larger room I will need more subs and I would like to have a sub that will give me the low frequency performance of the Triax (or better) without using a 4000w continuous 8000w peak amp (x2 if I have 2). I would like to be able to do it with a single amp of under 500w if that is possible. I was looking at building dual Gjallarhorns, but I am thinking that this might be easier to build and give me the same performance.
  11. Hi, i would like to extend my Klipschorn stereo setup to a 5.0 surround system . What center speakers and surround speakers would be a best fit ?
