Al Klappenberger
Solen caps must be very tasty! Al K.
greg928gts
I wonder what the rest of the speaker looks like! Greg
Guest David H
Wow, that rat has excellent taste in crossovers.
Deang
Solen caps must be very tasty! I beg to differ -- barely scratched the surface on those Solens, but went a dozen layers deep on that Hovland! That's one of the craziest things I've ever seen!
Coytee
I wonder if those taste great or are less filling?
Al Klappenberger
It's interesting how the rat tore the crap out of every cap but the 6.2 uF Solen. I need to get up with him to see what he liked best about the Hovlands, the film or the foil! Al K.
colterphoto1
What's the story on where that speaker was stored? Ordinary field mice will eat through tractor tires to get at the cords in them. I had some commercial lighting fixtures where mice ate up the woven high-temp wire insulation. They can tear through a K43 woofer in one night. More good reasons that good sound dudes should always keep a good supply of healthy cats!

Al Klappenberger
Colter, All I know is that the "rodent" got to it while the speakers were being stored. I didn't ask for any details. I hope it gave it a good case of heartburn! Al k.
Just_Strummin
Rodents! Can't live with em and you can't shoot em in the house. I hope he's a gone.
seti
Wow. That could be an expensive diet. That reminds me of the mouse bbq craig had in his juicy music.
Islander
I'm not surprised. I've heard of rats eating their way through concrete.
Budman
my sister has a detached garage and a squirrel ate thru all the wires to the garage door opener
bliss53
I think the rat was just trying to stop the loud noises in his head.
nola
Mr K, big owie to the Uni. (Local news had a small child with lots of rat bites tonight...) Post Katrina, glue traps, rat zappers, etc., and ferral cats did the job in the French Quarter. BTW, was it an African or European variety and of course, what was its favorite color (Python, Monty et le Grail du Jesu)? Bonne chance mon ami. mark1101
I would have eaten the red and green wires first.
Mike Dubay
My universal solution for rodents are 3 snarly feral cats that sleep under my deck. No bunnies, no mice, no moles. The big one evern tangled with a possum, once... Now has mono hearing with one good ear.
