Daddy Dee Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 His house was damaged heavily by a tornado on Friday. The front porch, a full length and substantial structure is gone. You can see daylight through the living room ceiling, with the shingles and decking blown off just the trusses to attach a tarp. Tony was at home with his family and they were heading to the basement when the tornado struck. They are all OK and I know they are thankful for that. Quote
Daddy Dee Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Dena Reed took these pics and shared them on FB. Quote

Moderators dtel Posted May 2, 2010 Moderators Posted May 2, 2010 Just happy everyone's OK, this has been a rough year for Tony and his family, as bad as it looks you were lucky. Great looking property and house Tony, I wish we were closer to help you get it back together. Quote
seti Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I was thinking about you guys when those storms rolled through. That was way tooo close. So glad your ok. I was watching very low hanging clouds pass to the east of Downtown Little Rock all night. I hate seeing rotation. Quote
indyhawg Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Glad to see he and everyone else in Arkansas are okay. My parents live a few of miles where the tornado hit in East End. Quote

jamesV Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 After seeing pictures it really is great to hear that everyone is OK. James Quote
JJkizak Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Noticed that the roof trusses held up ok but that doesn't mean much in a tornado. JJK Quote
Daddy Dee Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Tony had his house built with a number of features that above standard spec. Not sure what they all are. The front porch timbers were substantial. I've been trying to imagine where they might have landed. A 6x6 post is not very aerodynamic. Quote

williamss Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I'm glad Tony and his family are OK. I lost a classmate/dear friend Saturday night due to the storms. Quote
Daddy Dee Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Sharyl, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Peace to you. Quote
williamss Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks Daddy Dee. We were lucky the storms didn't get bad down here even though several tornados were spotted, none touched ground. Quote
