Dave Cawley
Great to see you here Dave. If anyone is looking for SME gear, Dave's the man. Thank you for that! You can see some pictures of my visit to the SME factory here Last year I was the best selling retailer for SME and next year I hope to achieve the same for Klipsch Heritage! Moderators Amy Posted June 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 14, 2011 Dave, Your email has been forwarded to Oscar Bernardo, who is our sales rep for Europe. I just sent it today, since I have been on vacation since last Tuesday. I apologize for the delay. BobG no longer works for Klipsch.

So with Amy, Jill, Rene and Oscar Bernardo (sales rep for Europe) all on the case I hope for some news soon! Oh, and not forgetting Gavin Reeg (global training specialist) who started it all at a meeting in Munich! Thanks guys Dave
KanedaK
Yes and no? It's the Heritage range I want to sell, have on demo, and get a review or three! Is Klipsch listening? Thanks Dave Hi-Fi Plus in the UK reviewed the heresy III very positively few months ago. A french mag (i'll look for the name, i have so many i don't remember wich one it was) reviewed the Klipschorn Anniversary Edition a few years ago, another great review. Stereophile reviewer bought LaScalaII after reviewing. I'm sure you might be able to find others... Great idea to sell Heritage speakers in the UK! Dave Cawley
Guys This is a sorry tale! I retail niche audio products and last year was the biggest retailer of SME turntables and tone arms. We decided to look for something as stable with as much heritage as SME. We looked at Tannoy, but on the samples I saw at a Hi Fi Show the crossovers had dry joints!! So a quick flight to Munich in Germany to visit the "Hi End Show". And there was what we wanted, Klipsch in a room, and a man from Klipsch USA! We chatted and I said I would be in contact. I did and heard nothing. So over a period emails were sent and or forwarded to: Gavin Reeg global training specialist Amy Unger marketing Oscar Bernardo sales rep for Europe Jill Escol director of marketing Rene Rijneveld director sales and distribution Still nothing..................... A week later, still nothing............ I had offered to put two or more of the Heritage Series on permanent demo. In fact if my arm was twisted I would put all four models of Heritage on demo giving the only such facility in the UK. My problem appears to be that there is no UK distribution, only a very helpful company in Northern Ireland. If I go that route and take the USA street price, add 10% or $150 for shipping (each), then add 5% import duty, then add our compulsory 20% sales tax, well that would be an equivalent retail price? Rather higher, but with shipping, duty and tax, that would be expected. However you have to take that big addition and then add on another 61% If that isn't bad enough, Klipsch are steadfastly refusing to answer any e-mails. I'm trying hard, and still hopeful of a solution. Any help greatly appreciated. Regards Dave

mustang guy
That bites, Dave. Those are some nice turntables. I am currently in the market for one, and a Euro SME model might be the thing I need. What kind of US dollar price would I expect to pay to get something entry-audiophile shipped to me here in the USA? Does your company do web sales or have an Ebay page? Dave Cawley
Hi Mustang Three weeks later and still nothing for Klipsch!! We don't do on-line selling as we prefer to talk to customer to see what they need, what their expectations are, and what can afford. However my SME prices are arguable the best in the world, but you need to contact me directly at dave@SoundHiFi.com Regards Dave
Dave Cawley
Because I dared to comment on the prices in the UK being so very high, Klipsch have just locked the thread! So much for the community spirit? Just watch, I'll be banned next? Just to remind you all, I am the largest retailer of SME tonearms and turntables in the UK, and I wanted to embrace Klipsch too.................. Moderators Amy Posted July 28, 2011 Moderators Share Posted July 28, 2011 This has nothing to do with pricing or censorship. There is no secret as to what our prices are in the states or internationally. I have left your posts up for all to see, and have forwarded your emails to the proper Klipsch personnel. I have asked you kindly to take up the issue with Klipsch directly. If there is anything we can do for you, we will contact you. Being a peer to peer support forum, there is not much assistance to be found here. You have made your position known, and we will take your comments under advisement. Thank you!

I am now an authorised Klipsch Heritage dealer in the UK, and have been for some time now, see www.soundhifi.com/klipsch thanks to Walter Hegarty. Regards Dave Dave, That is wonderful. I am glad your first encounters with "corporate red tape" did not persuade you to abandon your Klipsch Heritage dealership quest. I am sure you know that Amy did her best with the "power" she had. I hope this is just the beginning of many posts from you sharing your positive experiences with the Klipsch Heritage product. Good luck with your business and many wishes for great success in spreading the Klipsch Heritage(and other lines) name across the UK. Coytee
Congrats! I guess we can no longer accuse WC of being the newest dealer!! If you haven't, you should look up the Jubilee which as you may or may not know, was originally planned by PWK to become the Klipschorn II. Chris A
Hi All An update!...I am now an authorised Klipsch Heritage dealer in the UK, and have been for some time now, see www.soundhifi.com/klipsch thanks to Walter Hegarty. I wish we had those type of Klipsch dealers in my area (north central Texas): I might actually visit a dealer if they did carry Heritage directly...brilliant. Persistence pays off once again. If you get a chance and if you get a minute or so, it might be nice to know from you of any successes (or otherwise) in terms of satisfied Heritage customers. Most testimonials that I see nowadays relate only to the home theater and smaller product lines. But there is an enthusiastic Heritage following here on the forum, and for a good reason. Congratulations and best wishes. Chris
Frzninvt
Here is an older review of the Klipschorn and Cornwall. I think I have another Cornwall one somewhere.

mustang guy
That's crakin' good news mate! Took a bloody long time though, didn't it? I'm gonna be over in your neck of the woods next summer. Maybe I'll pop in. Edited November 17, 2014 by mustang guy
parlophone1
Happy to see more Klipsch in Europe. The import taxes, customs duties etc. are adding a great deal on prices here (of course depending on the country). For example, I paid for a pair of RF42s equivalent of more than 600$ and that was discounted :-(. And as for heritage reviews, I am sure this one is somewhere on the forum (http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/klipsch-heresy-iii-loudspeaker/).
