ace168516
Last week was a hard week...as a Florida fan, a Tebow fan and a Bears fan...I could not help but feel good for him, and I know how Denny Green and the Arizona fans felt after that Bears loss. JL Sargent
I think you can describe Tebow in many ways but average isn't one of them. He is a way below average passer in the NFL. He has way above average ability to win. There is something about the guy that is non statistical if you will. He has a very short term memory. He can have a terrible football game and somehow turn things around in the last 3 minutes of the 4th. Simply put, he has faith in himself and his teammates. He believes he can win 10 points down 3 minutes of regulation. Last week against Chicago he and Denver believed enough to pull out a victory too. willland
i only hate because a qb like that is getting more coverage for doing next to nothing than rodgers is for leading a team down a perfect victory road with qb ratings that would make any veteran qb giddy with delight, oh well denver needs something to cheer for We all know Rodgers is having a career year that any quarterback would envy but he also plays for a team that is as complete as any of the 49ers dynasty teams of the 80's and 90's. Tebow(clear underdog here) has lit a spark in a "mediocre" team(1-4 at week five) that just may win their division. I am not surprised at the coverage. No denying the kid is a winner and a motivator. Everyone expects Rodgers, Brady, Breese, and Manning(if not injured) to put up big numbers and win games, while most wrote Tebow off as a wildcat QB that couldn't play in the NFL. His character as a man is enough for me to root for him. Bill
mark1101
TeBow is like baskeball and NASCAR...........it's best to only watch the last few minutes.
oldtimer
He's a gamer, you have to respect that.. However the games they have won have been marked by the opposing teams essentially giving the game away, especially the vikings. Just win baby is what it's about, but we will see how they can do against the better teams.
willland
However the games they have won have been marked by the opposing teams essentially giving the game away, Let us not forget all the dropped passes that the Broncos receivers' could and should have made all year. Many of them might have been scores. The very catchable ball last week by Damaryius Thomas in the third quarter was a perfectly thrown ball that would have been a TD. Don't forget about Prater's blocked field goal in the second quarter. The score would have essentially been tied for a good portion of the game. JL Sargent
Hello Patriot defense, meet TIM TEBOW. Den 6, NE 0 Denver, this is Ocho Cinco NE 7, Den 6 Crazy, Denver already scores again on a long scamper by RB Lance Ball. The Broncos are having it anyway they want it right now averaging about 20yds a carry. Now it's the 4th Qtr, all Patriots and no comback in sight! Ouch! 41 to 23. At times Tebow looked pretty good, but Brady dismantled the Broncos D.

BigStewMan
i hate football again this week--Raiders blew it once again. Now i have to deal with the Lions fan at the office tomorrow.
mark1101
Tebow played a good game especially early. Did what he could. Wasn't his fault they lost............but the result was not unexpected. Turnovers!!
oldtimer
Turnovers by the other side led to those tebow wins. What goes around comes around. If denver gets better throughout the line up they could be dangerous again.
JL Sargent
Interesting comments from John Elway last night. Seems Tebow might be their guy after all. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7372694/denver-broncos-john-elway-gives-tim-tebow-strongest-endorsement-yet
JJkizak
As far as pure passing talent Elway is in a different universe than Tebow. JJK
oldtimer
Maybe so JJ but the numbers comparison for passing at the same point in their respective early careers is eerily similar. I'm with Big Stew, this past week was downright discouraging, but at least the broncos lost.
LHF63
Yeah, oldtimer, people forget the early Elway years. And they forget that Denver's first Super Bowl win was on the legs of Terrell Davis, not Elway's arm. As a reminder, - Elway started 10 games in 1983. He was 4-6, 123/259 (47.5%) for 1663 yds, 7 TDs, 14 INTs, 1 GWD (Game-Winning Drive). - Tebow has started 12 games so far. He is 8-4, 148/302 (49%) for 2138 yds, 16 TDs, 5 INTs, 6 GWDs. Football in general, and even success at the QB position, is about more than pure passing talent.

I don't think anyone thinks that Tebow will ever have a cannon arm like Elway(clocked at near 70mph) but he will improve his QB skills all across the board. One thing Tebow and Elway do have in common is an undying competiveness that gives you the ability to pull out 'miracles" when the pressure is on. Even though Tebow is technically not a rookie, he does and will continue to make rookie mistakes, just like Elway did. Go Broncos.
